[Player and Coach Comments]
《Peter UTAKA》
"(About the goal)
Normally, I would receive the ball closer to the goal, but at that moment, I dropped back a bit to receive the ball.
The opposing DF bit, creating an opening, and I took one step forward to aim.
It was good that I was able to score, but today is a match we must win.
It's very disappointing that we couldn't win.
(About the new system)
The ability to win the ball from the front, and both wide players becoming the starting point for crosses. I think that's a good aspect.
(What does Peter UTAKA want from those around him?)
That is, regardless of the system, he wants the forwards to pass the ball to him.
In the front line, we value the awareness of support and the sense of distance.
Regarding today, we created many chances and had moments where we were one-on-one with the opponent. I think we missed victory by just a little bit.
Kento HASHIMOTO
The team's awareness of fast vertical attacks and counterattacks is increasing.
Personally, I believe that decision-making in situations where the ball should be retained is a challenge. I want to delve deeper into that.
Everyone was running today as well, but the accuracy of the 'one' after running was insufficient.
I am also aware of positioning myself in a place where I can connect with the cross... entering the opponent's dangerous area, and today one of the double midfielders was able to do that.
There were many moments where it was really just 'a little more.' We need to be able to match those situations.
(Was there a moment to inspire the team?)
Although we conceded the first goal, everyone encouraged each other.
Players Takahagi and Yonemoto were also saying, 'Next, next!'
If we play positively without hesitation, we should be able to create chances.
Each voice changes the atmosphere of the team.
I think that not allowing Niigata to score a second goal led to our equalizer, and that might be a sign of growth as a team.
《Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference》
"It's really disappointing that we couldn't secure 3 points. Giving up the first goal disrupted our rhythm. From there, we managed to recover somewhat and created many chances, but we fell short in terms of scoring goals."
I felt once again that if we don't pay attention to various details, we won't be able to take the most important goal. Of course, I think the opponent also showed determination until the end, but I noticed moments where ego came out or there was a lack of composure. There were times when I thought it would have been better to utilize others or that someone should have taken the shot.
However, I believe that if we stop here, nothing will change, so I want to continue the way we fought today. The players ran well, but I deeply regret that we could not deliver the results that the fans and supporters desire.
《Q&A》
Q=How can we eliminate ego?
I hope to be able to look at the GK's position a little more calmly and see the position of the players who are following. In terms of that back-and-forth, once I decided to shoot, it seemed like I was going to shoot.
Of course, breakthroughs like those of UTAKA were necessary, and I think Nagai's running was also needed, but I believe the players need to make calm judgments in various situations.
Was there no option to switch to a four-back formation when we needed to score?
"Of course, we have been using four players until now, so that was one way of thinking. However, within that formation, we focused on how to score. Of course, we couldn't score, so we need to reflect on that, but we were able to create chances.
There was also the option to place Takahagi in a higher position, but today he was controlling everything in the center in both offense and defense, so I felt it was risky.
Q=How would you evaluate the process leading to the goal?
"Results are everything, but I think we have been able to make some progress by changing our formation a bit. When the opponent tightens up in the middle, we use the outside; when they open up on the outside, we use the middle. We have shown both the parts we are doing well and those we are not in the two matches, including the Levain Cup match against Hiroshima, so I want to focus on how we can build on that and score goals."
《Summary of the press conference by Niigata's Wagner LOPES》
"Since it was an away game, we were able to manage risks effectively. I believe we fought with full effort from start to finish in terms of fighting spirit. We were able to score from set plays, so I think we were able to showcase the training we have done over the past three weeks. However, there were also parts where we couldn't maintain balance effectively."
We were able to show a good counterattack a couple of times, but we lacked a bit of composure and couldn't score. If we can delve deeper into that, I believe we can score more goals.
We have two home matches coming up, so we want to do our best to aim for 3 points.
《Q&A》
Q=What is your impression of the defense in set plays?
"In the past three weeks, we switched from man-to-man to zone defense. I think they did a good job of protecting their own zone even in the zone defense."
From now on, we need to practice more and more, and instead of waiting for the ball, we have to focus on going for the ball in defense. However, I think we need to aim more for the second ball. I believe there were issues with positioning, but we need to practice that, so I want to delve deeper into it from now on.
Q=What is the evaluation of today's two center-backs?
I think the combination is still a work in progress, but the coaching has improved, and communication is also getting better. I believe we need to change the build-up patterns a bit more. If we do that, we should be able to move the ball more smoothly. However, regarding today's match, I think they showed good fighting spirit.
Q=What is your evaluation of player Isomura?
"He is a player who can calmly connect the ball and make use of the players around him. He is a vocal player, so I believe the combinations will improve even more from now on."
