[Player and Coach Comments]

《Kazunori YOSHIMOTO》
(It was a match we wanted to win)
"I wanted to win, and I think it was a match we had to win. We have conceded goals from set pieces in two consecutive matches, so we need to reflect on that properly. If we don't win matches like today, we won't be able to keep up with the top teams. However, there were good aspects as well, and I want to continue building on that."
(What about the fear of the opponent holding the ball in midfield?)
"Today, we allowed the opponent to hold the ball to some extent. We communicated well with the players on the sides and in midfield, and we talked about trying to eliminate threats at the very end even if they had possession. There were a few dangerous moments, but I don't think there were too many situations where we were broken down."

《Yoshito OKUBO》
(How was the atmosphere at Todoroki?)
"The atmosphere created by the fans and supporters of both teams was the best."
(It was your first match in a while, right?)
"I was tired. However, if I don't keep playing, my game sense and stamina won't come back, so I have no choice but to continue."
(There were some close scenes, though)
"That's right. However, I want a little more time to think during counter situations. If we can carry the ball forward like in the scene where I took a mid-range shot, we can increase our options."
(The team changed its system, but how do you feel about your performance since returning?)
"I think we were able to play a good match until partway through today, so I feel good about that. What happened at the end was unavoidable."

《Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference》
It is very disappointing that we couldn't secure the win, and we need to reflect on that. In the first half, there were moments when we were pushed back, but everyone did well in maintaining a solid defense in the center. I think it was good that we reset our mindset at the start of the second half, showed our determination to push forward again, and managed to score a goal.
However, there are many areas for improvement, such as being able to score one more goal and the continued conceding of goals from set pieces.
I wanted to present a victory to the Tokyo supporters, who created a great atmosphere along with the fans and supporters of both teams, but I would like to reflect on the fact that we were unable to do so.
There were several scenes where we could get two or three players into the goal area, so I want to continue doing this.

《Q&A》
Q=I believe we have changed the system and are now delivering the best performance possible, but it seems we continue to have matches where we can't secure a win. What are your thoughts on that?
"After all, the fact that we haven't been able to secure wins means that as a group, including myself, we still have a long way to go. Of course, we are creating chances to score, but the fact that we haven't been able to secure the second goal is putting the team in a difficult position later on. Conversely, in a game where we win 1-0, I realize that we must place a strong emphasis on set plays and ensure we secure the win. I have been encouraging the players to try changing the system or slightly altering the lineup to energize the team in various ways, and to be clearer about what we need to do. Although we haven't been winning, I feel that we can do much more, and as I told the players, I want to try various things positively."

Q=I think there was strength in the midfield battles and sharpness in the final counterattacks, but how does the coach feel about it?
"The three players have been doing very well in the battles for second balls in midfield, and after regaining possession, Kento HASHIMOTO and Yone have shown great speed moving forward, as well as the players who came on as substitutes, with Kensuke NAGAI adding another gear. However, while they have shown some very good moments with the final pass and shots, the question is how to convert this into wins for the team and goals. Of course, it's not just about the forwards; we also want to build up smoothly from deeper positions, and overall, I want us to move the ball more quickly and with better tempo. I really want to maintain this intensity of having two or three players entering the box."

Q=This week, there was also the announcement of Ishikawa's retirement, but Ishikawa also mentioned wanting to inspire the team. Can you tell us if this had any impact on today's game?
"Nao's announcement of his decision was surprising because many people within the team were unaware of it, and we truly feel his desire to step up for the team. The players are working hard to carry that sentiment on their backs and run with it. Everyone is looking at Nao's decision, his achievements so far, and the struggles he has faced with injuries. I believe that especially the 11 players who took the field today, the 18 members included, and even those who were not included, all approached this with a strong sense of unity."

《Kawasaki - Toru ONIKI's Press Conference Summary》
"First of all, it is honestly frustrating that we couldn't win with so many supporters coming for the Tamagawa Classico. In the game, I think we showed a strong fighting spirit this week, but we conceded goals and after equalizing, we were caught off guard by counterattacks several times. We need to tighten our focus and unify our intentions to fight together. It is truly disappointing that we couldn't win today."

《Q&A》
Q=I thought you brought in Moritani midway through the game, expecting his mid-range shots and kicks, but he ended up providing an assist. Could you share the coach's intentions and evaluation?
"He has really been in good form lately. He can receive the ball in tight spaces and take a mid-range shot right from there, and he can add accents in various areas. I put him out there with the expectations you just mentioned."

I think the team values the transition between offense and defense, but please tell us how you felt about that aspect in today's match.
"I think we were very aggressive in the first half. It wasn't that we couldn't do it in the second half, but we really need to switch between offense and defense. We need to think a bit more about our attacks. It's difficult to catch up even when we switch. I want us to work on that as a team and achieve a better balance."
