[Player and Coach Comments]
Taichi HARA
"In the second half, we fell behind Toyama, but as a team, we approached the match with a strong determination to definitely make a comeback."
I'm really glad we were able to achieve a comeback victory in the end.
(It was a new system, 3-5-2, but has anything changed compared to before?)
In terms of defense, the coordination is good, and I feel that it is a very easy system for me to work with.
(Reflecting on my own play)
In the first half, I was able to create opportunities, but there were many mistakes.
I made an effort to correct and play carefully during the game.
Since we were able to score in the second half, I would like to continue this solid performance going forward.
(Reflecting on the scoring scene)
Player Kobayashi made a solid pass behind, allowing me to calmly observe the movements of the opposing GK.
I was glad to smoothly slot it into the goal with my left foot.
(Is there a lot of physical activity?)
Since I can run relatively well in the second half if I move actively from the first half, I make sure to have proper meals and sleep before the match.
(This was my first goal as a starter)
As a FW, I believe it's important to consistently participate in matches from the starting lineup.
I am honestly happy to have started this time and scored a goal.
(Please send a message for the next match)
Next is a home game, so I want to practice hard and do my best to improve our ranking, even if just a little.
Thank you to all the fans and supporters for your support today.
Player Mikiharu Kobayashi
We were all thinking as a team about how much we can compete against Toyama, who are currently in second place in the J3 League, and how we can achieve victory within that context.
Everyone fought with all their might from the first half, but the situation continued where they couldn't capitalize on their chances.
In the second half, when I had the opportunity to play in a situation where we were one goal behind after conceding a goal, I entered the pitch with a strong determination to lead the team to victory.
I am very glad that it led to a comeback victory.
(Were there any specific instructions when you came on as a substitute?)
The coach instructed me to definitely score a goal when playing as a FW. I'm glad I was able to make it happen.
(I scored 1 goal and had 1 assist today. Q, please review the goal scene)
Since Ogawa had the ball, I felt a cross was coming in and moved into the goal area.
I was a bit late to enter, so the timing didn't match, but I made sure to respond to the second ball.
Then, at the right moment, a loose ball came to me, and I pushed it into the goal without thinking about anything else.
(This is FC Tokyo U-23's 50th goal. Were you aware of it?)
I knew that if I scored today, it would be my 50th goal.
I forgot the moment I scored the goal, but I am honored to have scored my milestone 50th goal.
(How was the scene of the assist?)
When I faced forward, Haru made a good run, so I thought that if the pass from the side got through, Haru would definitely score.
It was a bit forceful, but I'm glad I was able to contribute to the goal.
(Recently, I was called up to the Japan national team for the first time, did you gain anything from that?)
Since the Japan national team has a short period to gather with teammates, there are challenges in terms of coordination, but I feel that I need to develop the ability to break through as an individual within that context.
In that context, I believe it was very good to achieve 1 goal and 1 assist in today's match.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next match?)
Thank you to the many fans and supporters who came to Toyama today.
In the next match, since it is at home, we hope to deliver victory to many more people.
Thank you for your continued support.
Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference
We talked about being proactive from the start.
Since the break was long, I was conscious of not coming in too lightly.
I thought we would attack from here, and in the first 10 minutes, we created 2 or 3 chances and approached the goal, but we couldn't convert them into a score.
From there, the opponent's pressure increased, we made more mistakes, and there were moments of panic, leading to a difficult period.
In the second half, there were good moments, but there are still many areas that need improvement, and we conceded a goal due to the opponent's pace.
In particular, we were caught off guard by the set play that we had been paying attention to since before the match.
However, everyone ran well until the end, fought, picked up loose balls, and jumped in for crosses.
I believe that being able to continue such promises and score two goals is due to the players fighting tenaciously and gaining strength.
Lastly, when I entered the Toyama ground today, I heard there were about 150 people, and the strong support you provided until the end is what I believe allowed us to keep moving and connect to the goal.
I think it was very good that we were able to share our joy together.
