[Player and Coach Comments]

《Kazunori YOSHIMOTO Player》
(Reflecting on today's match)
"The result was disappointing, and it's frustrating that we couldn't score an away goal. I want to think about what is necessary to advance and prepare for the second match."

(What were the issues seen today?)
"After we scored 2 goals, we were able to attack well for a short time. We need to extend that attacking time and we must score next time. We all talked about that, so I want to keep that in mind."

(I felt like we were finally able to stop them at Yoshimoto's place)
"In the end, we had to go for the away goal, and it turned into an open game. But I think I was able to play more like myself in that kind of situation. It's a really tough result, but it's not over yet. Next, we have to win by scoring at least two goals without conceding any."

(After the match, I was talking to my teammates)
"I can't give up, and I don't think it's a no-chance situation. There's no point in regretting what has already happened, so I want to switch gears and move forward."

《Yu OKUBO》
(It seemed like the attack wasn't going well?)
"Even when I and Utaka opened up on the sides to create space, it was difficult for other players to get in there. The movement of Yone and Kento in the inside half is really impressive, and I think it's really tough. So, it might be a bit harsh to say this to those two, but if they could get in there, we could create a numerical advantage. Right now, it's turning into one-on-one or three-on-three situations, so unless we are much better than the opponent, we can't break through. I believe we can play a style of football that breaks through with numbers, and I think we have the members to do that."

(The second match will be in a 0-2 situation)
"We still don't know. We just have to prepare well and face the second match."

《Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference》
"Having ended the first match with a result of 0-2, we must win at home by a margin of at least two goals. Regarding today's game, I felt there was a bit of stagnation at the start, but I believe we were able to advance without giving the opponent any space. However, we need to reflect on the fact that we allowed the same slow development in our attacks."
In the second half, there were some moments where we pushed forward, but I still think we had too few opportunities to take shots. Anyway, I want everyone to prepare for the next match.

《Q&A》
Q= I believe we didn't give Kawasaki many chances until they scored and aimed for a counterattack, but after conceding a goal, was there no thought to maintain balance and attack patiently? It felt like we shifted quite aggressively.
"We changed to a 3-4-3 formation and increased our numbers up front. I think there were indeed times when we became a bit too aggressive, and we must reflect on the fact that we were countered two or three times. While we wanted to keep the goals conceded to just one and score to make it 1-1, I believe the players actively played to aim for goals. However, we ended up conceding instead, which I feel disrupted the overall balance of the team."

《Kawasaki - Toru ONIKI's Press Conference Summary》
"First of all, the players really gave their all. They ran well and showed great spirit, which was very good. There were players who didn't have many chances, so I used them to show the supporters our play, and they displayed that strong spirit. I believe this was a game that will lead to the next one."

《Q&A》
Q=Could you please say a few words about player Arai and the defense line who finished without conceding a goal?
"I really wanted to give Shota ARAI a chance because he has been a player who trains hard every day. I believe the results of his practice showed, and he is also a mood maker, so I think the team can gain momentum by winning in this way. Additionally, the defense line, including Itakura, did a great job of not allowing the strong forwards of FC Tokyo to perform well. However, I believe the second match is crucial."

Q=During the consecutive matches, player Ienaga started in five official games in a row. Please share your expectations and evaluation of him.
"First of all, his evaluation today can be summed up in one word: outstanding. He played his role in the attack and also returned well in defense, running where it was necessary to fight. That has become his standard, and he has now become an indispensable presence. We are in a series of matches, but he is contributing to our team's strength, so we are using him to maintain that momentum."

Q=There were moments where we effectively cut off the opponent's passes in defense, but was it due to our strategies or the players' good responses? Which one was it?
"We only had the day before to prepare. We raised awareness as a team, but fundamentally, the players felt their way through the match. The defense against the opponent's system has been trained throughout the season, so I believe the players made solid judgments on what to choose during the match."
