[Player/Coach Comments]
"Peter UTAKA"
(I felt that it was a difficult game to create a rhythm?)
"I think the biggest thing was giving away the lead from our own mistakes today. We wanted to take the lead and approach the second half, but it turned into the opposite and led to this kind of outcome."
(After Utaka entered in the second half, Okubo (Yoshi) and Nagai were creating chances with good cooperation.?)
"Not just today, but I think Okubo (Yoshi) and Nagai are always understanding each other and creating good combinations. If we had scored at the beginning of the second half, we could have played with more confidence and the strikers could have gained more confidence by scoring goals. If we had scored there, the game might have turned out differently."
(What about the score?)
"There is an indescribable emotion when scoring a goal in this kind of situation. The best thing is to score a goal and win as a team. However, if my goal can give even a little bit of positive energy to the fans and supporters for the next game, I think that would be good."
"Hyun Soo JANG"
(There were many goals conceded from mistakes)
"I haven't been able to fully organize the 4 goals conceded yet. I want to watch the footage again and think about my mistakes in conceding goals."
(After conceding a goal from a mistake, the game became difficult as the ball didn't circulate well)
"In the previous match, there were naturally mistakes made while playing the style of football we want to play. In the Sendai match, we were able to cover those mistakes ourselves and continue playing, but in today's match, we didn't have that luxury due to the pressure from the opposing players. Making mistakes is inevitable, but I wish we had more composure. Also, I think the location of where the mistakes are made is a problem. In the Sendai match, most of the mistakes happened in higher positions, but today, there were many mistakes made in our own half, which led to conceding goals."
(Did you ever feel like you could do more despite the pressure from the opponent?)
"I think everyone has the ability, but today we lost our composure as we conceded goals."
"Tokyo - Takayoshi AMMA Coach"
"First of all, I am very grateful to all the fans and supporters who came to the stadium and filled the stands."
The match was a challenge to be aware of Kashiwa's fast vertical attacks, crosses, and set plays. We were able to respond well at the beginning, but unfortunately, we made mistakes in moving the ball, resulting in conceding a goal. Even after conceding, we must reflect on the fact that there were many instances where we played while looking at the opponent rather than our teammates.
Entering the second half, I think we were able to safely end it with a score of 0-1, but the team is trying to play aggressively, so we started the second half by challenging the opponent.
As a result, we were able to create two scoring opportunities, but looking at the outcome, I feel that it was necessary to equalize there. Kashiwa, who is in the top position, has really been defending with their bodies on the line, and they are prepared to prevent conceding there, so I think that's why they are in this position.
Although we lost the game, I saw the players who had given up during the C Osaka and Kawasaki games when the score was far apart, desperately heading towards the opponent's goal until the end. Even when we received a counterattack, Yu OKUBO, Keigo HIGASHI, and Ryoichi MAEDA showed a strong defensive posture, which I believe will lead to the next game.
"Now, we are trying to give up our will and habits. We are trying to change as a team, so we want to challenge the next game without breaking apart here again."
"Kashiwa - Takahiro SHIMOTAIRA Coach"
"I am happy that we were able to win with a solid performance in front of a nearly full crowd at Hitachi Stadium, which we haven't played at in a while. Despite playing a game just two days ago and some players playing the full 90 minutes, they all gave their best until the end without losing their energy. I believe we were able to win with the overall strength of the team, including the fresh players who were able to avoid playing in the previous game."
In the first half, the game was unsettled at the beginning, but we were able to settle down and score points, and in the second half we were able to continue scoring points in a good way. The players ran until the end, especially in defense, where we continued to put pressure on the opponent and were able to create good opportunities. However, if I were to be greedy, the last goal was a huge waste. I wish we could have finished the game without conceding any more goals, but that is still something we need to work on in the future.
"We have another game coming up soon, so we want to start preparing for the next one."
Q=Tokyo took control of the pace in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Was that expected?
"FC Tokyo has been changing their system, and there were scenes where the ball was taken away or the pressure didn't work well due to the coordination and combination, but the players were able to make adjustments."
Q=Please evaluate the reason for using player Takeuchi and today's performance.
"With only two days between the Emperor's Cup, I wanted to keep the three midfielders as fresh as possible. In that regard, Ohtani, Kim Bogyon, and Take Tomi were rested for the Emperor's Cup, with the intention of having them available for the league match."
After telling Takeuchi about the starting lineup and finding out it was his birthday, I was hoping he would be motivated and he really did score two goals today. He was really fired up and it was great.
