[Player and Coach Comments]
《Rei HIRAKAWA》
In the first half, we were able to play the style of soccer we aimed for as a team, moving the ball well. However, in the second half, we continued to concede goals from set pieces, and I feel very frustrated that it did not lead to a victory.
(How did you perform as an individual?)
While I was able to showcase my strengths in moving the ball, I think it would have been better if I had shown a more proactive attitude to push forward from there.
(After today's match, I will be going to U-17, but please send a message to the fans and supporters)
I have gained very good experience in J3, so I believe we absolutely cannot lose to our peers because of that.
I want to express myself without hesitation, even against the world.
《Takefusa KUBO》
"As for the match, it was always a game where we were chasing, but I think we were able to create a lot of time with ball possession and played a good match."
However, we conceded 3 goals from set pieces, and looking at the result, a score of 1-4 is not good, so that is regrettable.
(How is your performance as an individual?)
As an individual, I feel that I am improving day by day in my play in J3.
Today wasn't bad, but I haven't achieved results that I can say were good, so I want to make sure I can always deliver results, no matter the condition.
I believe I was able to play in my own way, and I gained valuable insights that will carry over to the next match.
(After today's match, I will be going to the U-17 team, but please send a message to the fans and supporters)
I want to fight hard against the world and do my best to bring back results that will make FC Tokyo's fans and supporters happy.)
Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference
First of all, I would like to thank the fans and supporters who came all the way to Tochigi despite the J1 matches.
I would like to express my gratitude once again for the atmosphere of the match venue that elevates the players' spirits.
I think it was a very tight match.
In terms of maintaining possession of the ball, which we are starting to work on now, there were many very young players, but I believe they were able to confidently receive and move the ball.
However, I believe we need to increase the number of times we connect to the finish, and we also need to improve our accuracy.
I think the flow of the match was not bad, but I feel that conceding three goals in the second half from set pieces is a weakness of the team.
Especially with a significantly changed lineup from the previous match, the younger players still need to improve their competitiveness as first defenders and their reactions to second balls, as Tochigi's players are currently outperforming us in these areas. I believe that repeating similar mistakes leading to goals is one of our challenges, and we want to tackle these issues positively moving forward.
