[Player/Coach Comments]

"Hyun Soo JANG"
"After the previous match, we suffered a lot of goals, so we all raised our defensive awareness. I think that collective awareness led to the result of keeping a clean sheet."

(Against Iwata's attacking lineup)
Iwata not only has FW Kawamata, but also MF Adailton, each with their own unique characteristics such as speed, height, and power. We thoroughly analyzed that aspect.
In particular, we focused on containing Iwata MF Nakamura's passes as they were a threat whenever he had possession of the ball.
I think that ultimately it became a factor in not allowing the opponent to score.

(There were also moments when we launched a counterattack and attacked, but?)
If there is a chance, I am always conscious of attacking. Today, I was fouled and it's frustrating and disappointing.

(What do you expect from the attacking team even though it ended in a scoreless draw?)
I don't expect anything from the attacking team.
He always contributes a lot on the defensive side. That's why we were able to keep a clean sheet today."

"Keigo Higashi"
"I kept receiving the ball, actively involved in building up and continued to challenge for the attack."
It was unfortunate that it didn't lead to a goal, but...

I think we were able to communicate well by trying not to be too offensive or defensive and not to be too biased against Takahagi.

It's been about 8 years since I played as a midfielder. It's almost like my first time, but I think it's important to keep practicing and building up.

"Tokyo - Takayoshi Amma Coach's Press Conference Summary"
"First of all, I would like to thank all the fans and supporters who gave courage to the team at the stadium."
Iwata is a team with 19 out of 41 points from set plays and the remaining 10 points from counter attacks.
I entered the game with the intention of not letting the opponent get up to speed.
When it became a set play, we talked about doing what we should do and focusing until the second and third plays are cut off. In response, each player did what they should do as a team for the full 90 minutes.
This season, we faced Sendai, Kashiwa, and Iwata with the concept of keeping our points at zero by holding onto the ball, as we had accumulated many points. In those three games, we were able to finish two games without conceding a single point, which I think was able to demonstrate one form as a team.

Holding onto the ball resulted in mistakes during the Kashiwa game, but it can be a good lesson.
I am positively taking the opportunity to pause with a 50% record against these three teams.

"We want to build up our speed together, including the players on the front line, in order to score points."

Q=Evaluation of contribution to East player's attack?
"By him confidently showing his face in the midfield, even if the ball didn't go to him, it could go to Yoshito or Ryoichi. Instead of passing sideways, we were able to make vertical passes, which prevented the opponent from narrowing down their target. If there had been a mistake there, it would have given the opponent momentum like in the Kashiwa game, so today his presence stopped Iwata's feet."

"Iwata - Manager Hiroshi NANAMI's Press Conference Summary"
"We changed from a 3-back formation in the previous match to a 4-back formation in today's game, and although the players' positions have changed, the message we conveyed to them was to focus on the usual things rather than numbers and such."
I think there will be various scenes during the game, but by making clear decisions individually, we can play collectively.
Defense was very compact. I think we were able to avoid stretching out between CB and SB, CB and DM, so even in the last 15 or 20 minutes, when the game tends to become a counter battle, it was a good game because it didn't become too rough.
In terms of attack, it was disappointing that we couldn't match the opponent's pace and our possession rhythm didn't increase. There were also few movements in the front line, and our awareness of the opponent's back and the sides of the box was lacking. We also had a low awareness of shooting, and our accuracy in the final one-touch was not good, resulting in many scenes where we were blocked by the opponent.

Q=What is the evaluation of player Yamada, who made his first start after transferring?
"There were a lot of choices to go back a little. Even when entering the post, there were many back pass scenes, and the number of times we aimed for the back was small, so it was not the play we expected. I had been playing as a defensive midfielder in Germany for about a year, so I felt like I had forgotten the atmosphere of the second row. What I told him was, 'Let's enter the game while relaxing as if it were rehabilitation,' but honestly, I don't think it was good. However, by starting, I think something new will sprout in him, and there will be time to adjust various things for the next two weeks, so I want him to be in a good condition by the Shizuoka Derby."

Q=Did you say that you were able to have a strong and compact defense? Is that also one of the reasons for the low number of goals conceded this season?
"I think the reason for our success is that the players have been giving their all until the very end, utilizing their own strengths within the constraints of discipline, and helping each other. Personally, I don't focus on numbers, but compared to the 50 goals we conceded last season, this is an incredibly good number."
