[Player and Coach Comments]
《Masayuki YAMADA》
(About the Goal)
"I had been coordinating with Ota during the tactical practice the day before, and we discussed the key points before the match, so it went exactly as planned."
(Was it a pattern I was confident in?)
"Scoring from set pieces is one of my strengths, so as long as a good ball comes in, I have the confidence to win in the contest. I'm glad I was able to show that today."
(Did you receive any words from your teammates?)
"Yes, that's right. However, in the end, we lost, so I wanted to score a goal that would lead to a win. We conceded 2 goals in defense, which is our primary role, so I want to accept that situation and reflect on it properly."
(Did the weight of the goals in J1 and J3 differ?)
"If I may say so, we had several set pieces, so I think we could have scored more. I believe it was good that we were able to score, but it's disappointing that we couldn't turn it into a win."
(What did you feel while playing in the defense part?)
"Since the opponents have many strong players, I was thinking about how to respond while playing. I have confidence that if I can gain more experience, I can be a central figure in this team, so I want to challenge myself more, reflect on today's lessons, and apply them to the next game."
《Takefusa KUBO》
(What are your honest thoughts on your J1 debut?)
"I was not nervous at all and was able to get into the flow of the pitch quickly. Since we were trailing by one goal, I really wanted to catch up."
(Reflecting on my own play)
"I made my J3 debut last November, and there were moments when I felt tense. However, since I had been practicing together today, I was able to play without any nervousness. I think I was able to perform better today."
(It seems there was a directive from the coach to "receive the ball a lot and create rhythm." What do you think about that?)
"I think the coach is expecting more. I believe it would be good to continue to deliver the plays that the coach is asking for, next time and the time after that."
Did you feel any differences compared to the Levain Cup and J3?
"Since it was a home game during the Levain Cup, I felt the difference between home and away, but I didn't particularly feel anything else."
(Reflecting on the missed opportunity near the end)
"I was trying to create a situation where the opponent's defense would close in, and I had the image of kicking it through their legs to the far side, but the shot went off course and ended up right in front of the goalkeeper. If it had gone as I imagined, it could have been different, so it was a very frustrating moment. The fact that my shot didn't go where I aimed is due to a lack of practice, so I want to practice more when I get home."
(How do you want to connect this participation to the future?)
"With my current overall ability, I think I will have more substitute appearances unless I grow more. In that sense, I have grasped something, so I want to consistently be involved in matches to not lose this feeling."
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference by Coach Takayoshi AMMA》
I would like to thank all the fans and supporters who came to support us in Hiroshima.
In the match, we anticipated that Hiroshima would come with a strong fight as they were in a relegation battle. In response, we were also calm in progressing the game, but I think conceding a goal just before the end of the first half is our current issue. However, within that, we managed to stay focused and equalized, and I feel that our repeated aggressive attacking challenges will lead to future success. I believe we have shown new aspects, such as Yamada (Masayuki YAMADA) scoring and Take (Takefusa KUBO) participating, and we were able to create good opportunities in the match against Tosu as well. In today's match, we are also becoming capable of creating decisive chances, so we want to prepare well and show our fans and supporters a winning performance at our home Ajinomoto.
《Q&A》
Q=Kubo made his first appearance in J1, what is your evaluation of today?
"There were mistakes in the midfield, and the ball wasn't settling down, so what I first asked of him was to get involved with the ball a lot. After bringing him on, we were able to move the ball forward effectively through him, and he was also able to create space, so I think he did what was asked of him. Additionally, he added value by initiating dribbles and collaborating with others to create plays that were uncomfortable for the opponents. I believe he can handle it without any issues."
However, I think I would be more effective if the situation were better, so I feel that he needs to express his intentions more, so that he can be trusted more by those around him and receive the ball at the timing he wants.
《Hiroshima - Summary of Coach Yang Yongson's Press Conference》
"In the first 5 to 10 minutes of the match, the team was too cautious. However, from there, we gradually regained our play, and I think we were able to play good football in the end."
There were several points to correct from the match against Kobe, but the team was able to train well together and maintain a solid defense. Today, we were able to finish the match conceding only from set pieces. In terms of offense, we continued the good flow from the match against Kobe, and Inagaki also did well. I think in the scene of the second goal, Takahashi and FELIPE Silva worked hard, leading to Inagaki's goal.
This team is amazing. The foundation of it is the spirit of Hiroshima. The team fights as one because of that spirit. Today, both the players who wore the uniform and those who did not, as well as the staff and supporters, all fought together as one. The results are truly wonderful.
Q=Has the J1 relegation been decided, completing one task?
"Everyone felt the pressure and fought hard. That's why I'm happy with this result. You can't know how soccer will turn out until you fight. I didn't know how today would go either. But to win, good soccer is necessary. This was my first league match as a coach, and we created many wonderful chances while not allowing our opponent, Tosu, to create almost any chances, yet we lost due to a long shot. The performance was good, but we couldn't translate it into results. However, because we were able to continue playing good soccer, it led to achievements."
