[Player and Coach Comments]
《Takuya UCHIDA》
"Unlike the usual matches, many young players participated, and we lost 0-3.
Overall, there were many small mistakes, and we were unable to connect the ball as we usually do.
In defense, we were losing on an individual level. I believe we need to ensure that even with a young lineup like today, we can hold our own against top teams.
(How was your performance?)
There were some minor mistakes at the start of the first half, but I don't think I lost any one-on-one battles in defense. I want to focus on that aspect positively.
However, in terms of offense, I want to think about when to overlap and how to showcase my strengths based on the position I played.
(What aspects have you grown throughout the season?)
I think the attitude towards scoring and the transition between offense and defense has become really fast.
I believe we need to increase our scoring a bit more, but I think the number of plays directed towards the goal has been increasing, including the last match. It would be great if we could focus more on action plays rather than reaction plays.
(Determination for the Final Match)
Since we are facing a team of the same age group, we cannot afford to lose, and I have not yet achieved results as an individual. Therefore, both as an individual and as a team, I want to ensure we achieve solid results and make this match one that can lead us into next season.
《Manato SHINADA》
The opponent is characterized by their quick vertical attacks, so we were cautious, but there were players participating in different positions than usual, which caused us to respond a bit late, and I think it was difficult for us to play our game.
(How was your play?)
Today, I focused on quickly passing the ball forward, but I wasn't able to communicate well with the players around me, which made me search for where to pass the ball and I couldn't increase the tempo of the attack.
I would like to work on this issue in preparation for the next match.
(What aspects have you grown in throughout the season?)
I believe I have adapted quite well in terms of physicality and speed, and I have also gained confidence.
It has come down to the last match, but we want to secure 3 points as a team.
(What are your thoughts for the next match?)
Since the final match is a home game, I believe many fans and supporters will come to watch.
We want to prepare well as a team and aim to take all 3 points.
Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference
"In such weather, when I stepped onto the field, I was grateful to have the FC Tokyo fans and supporters cheering loudly, which made me approach the match with a thankful heart."
The match was a complete defeat in terms of content.
This was the worst performance in the last few matches.
In terms of offense, we were able to launch attacks from good combinations several times, but we gave away corner kicks due to our own mistakes on several occasions, which led to conceding goals.
I think it was a bit of a waste of a match, as we conceded a goal due to a lapse in concentration during play.
As we prepare for today's match, we know that the opponent has a very speedy attacking lineup, and I had been talking about entering the match with focus, but I am disappointed that it has turned out this way.
Since there is only one match left, I want to switch gears and work hard in the final match so that everything we have done so far will not be in vain.
