[Player/Coach Comments]
"Masato MORISHIGE"
"We didn't particularly discuss about goals, but Ryo was consistently putting in good balls. We had a good feeling since the training camp, and I'm relieved that we were able to score today after not being able to do so for a while."
However, today we clearly relaxed after taking two points first.
Everyone was feeling it, and harsh words were flying around at halftime.
After the second half, G Osaka scored their second goal right away, but everyone knew what they had to do. In the past, we would have let ourselves slip after being tied, which was very "FC Tokyo-like", but this time we were able to come back and earn 3 points, which I think was really great.
It was tough, but I think Diego's third goal was also due to everyone's efforts to get back on track without falling apart.
I knew exactly what to do when times were tough or the flow was bad.
The substitute player in particular fulfilled their role and pulled the flow towards us.
From here, it's truly an all-out battle. I feel that it was a game where everyone's strength was needed and shown.
《Akihiro HAYASHI》
"Regardless of the PK, the challenge is how to lead the game after taking the lead."
Everyone relaxed today.
Not only the press, but also the way of passing has points to reflect on and tasks to be corrected.
At halftime, Keigo scolded and encouraged us, saying "This won't do! It's no different from usual!" We all discussed it together, but we should have been able to bring ourselves into a situation where we could control the game more easily.
Although it was a big win, it was thanks to the attacking players who scored three points. As a defensive player, we need to fix the two goals we conceded.
"Summary of Tokyo - Kenta HASEGAWA Coach's Press Conference"
"It became an intense game."
Despite not being able to score multiple points, I think the players really did their best and were able to win by scoring three points. I also believe that it was thanks to the passionate support of the fans and supporters until the end. We were able to score two points in the early stages of the first half, but we were worried that we would be defeated after conceding one point in the second half.
We talked to the players about going for a third goal during halftime and entered the second half with an attacking attitude. Even after conceding, we were able to score another goal without being passive. During the break, we did training games and had various meetings in order to score, and it was good that we were able to show the results in today's match.
"We still have a lot of consecutive games ahead, so we want to switch our focus to the next Levain Cup and prepare thoroughly."
Q=What was the reason for the press not working in the second half, even though it was working well in the first half?
"I started off pretty strong, so by the end of the first half, I could see signs of fatigue."
There were errors in the way the defensive midfielder pressed, especially in the scenes where we conceded, so we fixed that at halftime.
In the second half, the opponent had control of the ball, but I don't think there were many dangerous scenes, and I think we were able to fight without dropping our line too much.
I think Cayman TOGASHI was often there in the second play of the last set play. That was a play that really saved the team, and without that kind of luck, we couldn't have won this game. I think that play connected the efforts of the players and the thoughts of the fans and supporters."
"Summary of G Osaka Levir CULPI's press conference"
"Looking at the result of losing, I think it's the worst result, but I think the performance of the players who fought until the end should be evaluated."
There were times during today's match where it wouldn't have been strange for the result to be different. I also feel that there are still areas where we need to continue growing as a team.
Some players made their debut today, and we want to work together to strengthen the team's power in the upcoming consecutive games and fight through them.
Q=Please tell me Matheus' evaluation.
"I think my performance was average. It was my first time experiencing the tempo of Japanese football, and there were some tough moments. However, I believe that I have good technical skills, so I think I will improve with each game."
