[Player and Coach Comments]

Cayman TOGASHI

(It was a frustrating defeat)
"Everyone is tired from the consecutive matches, and I didn't feel that the opponent was doing particularly well either. It was a disappointing turn of events at the very end, but instead of dwelling on this defeat, I think it's important to win the next match and regain the momentum. We created chances today, but I feel the opponent was just a step ahead at the crucial moments. The goal is simply to win next time. I want to avoid overthinking it."

(It was my first start since the Shonan match)
"The coach told me to give it my all in the 45 minutes. While everyone was tired from the consecutive matches, I felt fresher than the other players on the field, so I wanted to contribute more in the 45 minutes I was given."

(I think there will be another match in three days, but what should the team focus on?)
"Even if the members change, we must continue to do what we need to do in both offense and defense without wavering. I want each person to be aware of this and approach the next match with that mindset. I believe the style of football we are playing now is one that can win, and I think we are a winning team. If we can win the next home Levain match, I believe we can regain our momentum, so I want to prepare well."

《Yuichi MARUYAMA》
(Reflecting on today's match)
"I feel it was a very difficult match. We were able to fight as a team with a sense of unity, and we were also able to create rhythm from solid defense."
However, a small mistake led to a goal against us. That is frustrating, and we need to correct it moving forward. I want to use this result as a lesson and build on it for the next time.

(What did you focus on as a defender?)
"It started to rain, making the pitch slippery, so the ball was easier to move. I knew the opponent would rely heavily on long balls, so I was prepared to pick up the second balls. I was able to play somewhat as I imagined, but in the situation where we conceded a goal, we were outsmarted by the opponent."

(Looking ahead)
"The team's coordination is improving, and our condition is getting better. I want to take today's result positively and build on it through training."

《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference by Coach Kenta HASEGAWA》
It was not a match situation where we should have lost, so it is difficult to accept this result.
C Osaka really gives the impression of fighting tenaciously, being a team that picks up second balls without missing a beat. Before the match, we had warned that we must be careful of the opponent's long ball attacks and the second balls, but we conceded a goal due to our half-hearted play.
Of course, since it was a match with only two days in between, we couldn't quite get to the point of preparing in training, but we were discussing things in meetings and so on. Until then, we were able to do it to some extent, but in the end, if there is a gap between the GK and DF, I believe it leads to goals like that.
Therefore, I believe that in order to never make the same mistakes again and to prevent them from happening, we must work hard in training to raise our level of play.
In terms of offense, we were able to break through in good shape several times, so I think we need to improve the accuracy of our final passes and finishes. We must continue to work on this in training.

Summary of the press conference of FC Osaka coach YOON Jong Hwan

"First of all, I would like to thank everyone for coming to the stadium despite the bad weather. I thought it wouldn't be an easy game against FC Tokyo, who are on a four-game winning streak. Looking back, it was indeed not an easy match. However, our players showed high concentration and approached the game with patience. There were various situations, including mistakes, but converting chances into goals and leading to victory is a significant strength. Of course, I believe that we cannot always play well in this tough schedule. Today, we performed better defensively than offensively. It was our first clean sheet in a while, and all the players were aware and focused during the match. It’s a tough schedule, but we want to give our best in every single game moving forward."

<Q&A>
Q= In the early stages of the league, we had noticeable goals conceded, but I think the defense as a unit has stabilized in the second half of the last match and this match. Do you feel that progress?
"The most important thing is concentration. The four back players maintained their focus for the full 90 minutes. Of course, it wasn't just the four of them playing well that prevented goals. I believe we were able to maintain concentration for 90 minutes due to our pressing from the front. Because we pressed well from the front, the players in the back were also able to maintain their concentration for the full 90 minutes."
