[Player/Coach Comments]
《Cayman TOGASHI》
(It was a disappointing defeat)
"In the midst of everyone being tired from consecutive matches, I didn't feel like the opponent was doing particularly well. It was a shame that it ended up being a close game, but instead of dwelling on this defeat, I think it's important to win the next match and regain the momentum. We did create chances today, but I feel like the opponent was one step ahead in the end. The challenge is simply to win the next match. I want to avoid overthinking."
(This was my first start since the Shonan game)
"The coach told me to give it my all in 45 minutes. While everyone else was tired from playing consecutive games, I was fresher than the other players on the field, so I wanted to contribute even more in those 45 minutes given to me."
(I think we have another game in 3 days, what should we do as a team?)
"Even if the members change, we have to do what we need to do, whether it's attacking or defending. Each of us needs to be aware of that and approach the next game. I think the football we are playing now is a winning football, and I believe we are a winning team. If we can win the next home Levain Cup game, I think we can turn the tide and make a good preparation."
"Yuichi MARUYAMA"
(Looking back on today's match)
"I feel like it was a very difficult match. We were able to fight as a team with a sense of unity, and we were also able to create a rhythm from solid defense."
However, a small mistake led to a goal being conceded. It's frustrating, and we need to fix it in the future. We want to learn from this result and move on to the next one.
(What did you focus on as a defense?)
"The pitch became slippery due to the rain, so it was easier to move the ball. We knew that the opponent would use a lot of long balls, so we were prepared to pick up second balls. We were able to play as we imagined to some extent, but we were beaten by the opponent's cunningness in the scene of conceding a goal."
(Looking ahead)
"As a team, our coordination has improved and our condition has also gotten better. We don't want to view today's result negatively, but rather build on it with positive training."
"Tokyo - Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference Summary"
"It is difficult to accept this result because it was not a game that we were supposed to lose."
C Osaka is a team that fights really tough and picks up second balls without any gaps. We were warned before the game to be careful of their attacks using long balls and their second balls, but we ended up conceding due to our half-hearted play.
Of course, it was a game with only two days in between, so we couldn't fully prepare during training, but we discussed it in meetings and such. We were able to do a certain amount until then, but in the end, when there was a gap between the GK and DF, it led to goals like that.
Therefore, I believe that we must train hard and improve our level of play to ensure that we do not make the same mistakes again and prevent them from happening.
As for the attack, I think we were able to break through in good form several times, so we need to improve our accuracy in the last pass and finish. We have to continue to work hard in training."
"Summary of FC Osaka Manager YOON Jong Hwan's Press Conference"
"First of all, I am grateful to everyone who came to the stadium despite the bad weather. I thought it wouldn't be an easy game against FC Tokyo, who are on a 4-game winning streak in the league. Looking back, it was definitely not an easy game. However, our players showed great concentration and patience in the game. We made mistakes and faced various situations, but we were able to convert our chances and secure the victory, which will be a great strength for us. Of course, I don't think we can always play well in this tough schedule. Today, we played better defensively than offensively. It was our first clean sheet in a while, but it was a game where every player was conscious and focused. It's a tough schedule, but we want to give our best in every single game from now on."
"I think the most important thing is concentration. The four defenders maintained their concentration for the entire 90 minutes. Of course, it's not just because the four of them played well that we didn't concede any goals. I think it was because of our defensive play from the front that we were able to maintain our concentration for the entire 90 minutes. The defenders in the back were also able to maintain their concentration for the entire 90 minutes because the defenders in front were doing their job well."
