[Player and Coach Comments]
《Kosuke OTA》
"(Regarding the FK)
It's awesome to be able to score (laughs)."
However, what makes me even happier is that... I knew we would be somewhat dominated by Yokohama FM today, but we scored multiple goals from counterattacks, and the timing of our goals was also good.
I think when Higashi scored, about four players entered the center and posed a threat to the opponent.
I am really happy that Mako (Okazaki) scored.
However, you must not be satisfied with this result.
I want to tighten my focus and prepare for the next match.
I am tired and it's tough, but I want to prepare to keep winning with strong feelings and confidence.
Yojiro TAKAHAGI
"(Everyone was working hard in this heat. What was the reason?)
...I think it's the mindset."
Of course, that is what is required, and players who can do that will be on the pitch.
Understanding what everyone needs to do and feeling that it leads to good competition.
(In the last two matches, have you been playing up front?)
I believe I understand what needs to be done.
However, I want to play in a way that contributes more to scoring in the attack.
Regarding today, we were able to utilize the attacking power of players like Higashi and Tanabe to get into the goal area.
While fighting tenaciously, they were able to make bold moves when opportunities arose.
And even after taking the lead, they aimed to score one more point, then another...
Rather than having an attitude of 'holding on' or 'defending', I believe that aiming for additional points will help us overcome the challenges of the summer.
(Has the gap to the top narrowed?)
I believe that every match is important, and it is necessary to keep applying pressure on Hiroshima.
《Tokyo - Kenta HASEGAWA's press conference summary》
"I think it was great that a lot of goals were scored. A total of 7 goals from both teams. I believe the spectators enjoyed it. The players seemed to know that too, as they ended up giving away 2 goals to the opponent, and even Nagai was trying to get himself into the goal net instead of the ball (laughs). However, Marinos, who scored 8 goals in the previous match, are in good form. It was good that we were able to secure a win at home. I want to continue accumulating points going forward."
《Q&A》
Q=In the previous and current matches, we have achieved victory with a different lineup compared to the first half of the season. Is the team becoming deeper in quality?
"The victory in the last match was really significant. We were able to win against Kashiwa with fresh players and players in different positions. I think the players' determination was strong, and it made it easier to make substitutions. For example, Yonemoto played very well in the last match. In today's game against Marinos, it was important for the defensive midfielder to win the ball. Up front, Nagai is still not in his best form, but we don't know what the team situation will be like in the summer, so we want to be able to adapt to any situation."
Q=We changed the members from the Kashiwa match, but has there been a change in the players' feelings?
"Perhaps the players are starting to feel that they need to seize this opportunity as injured players return. After winning against Kashiwa in the last match, there was an atmosphere in training that no matter who plays this week, we will all win together. I believed that as long as we entered the match properly, we could play our football today."
Q=Diego OLIVEIRA's partner in the front line is Yojiro TAKAHAGI, and there was a way to effectively enhance Diego OLIVEIRA's talents.
"It's slightly different from when we had Nagai and Diego as the two strikers. We discussed in the meeting how to utilize Diego. When Takahagi plays just behind the forwards, how he moves is important, and Diego's movement also helps Takahagi shine, so I think everyone adjusted their combinations while playing together."
《Yokohama FM - Summary of the Press Conference with Head Coach Peter CKLAMOVSKI》
"I think we were able to control the game well in the early stages, but once the opponent scored from a wonderful set piece, the dynamics changed, and a goal can change the game. By the time we reached halftime, we found ourselves in a very tough situation at 0-3. However, in the second half, the players did not give up until the very end and managed to score two goals. In the end, we ran out of time, but I am proud of the players."
《Q&A》
Q=I think the opening goal was significant, but while FC Tokyo was defending and aiming for counterattacks, Yokohama FM couldn't launch fast attacks. Was there no way to change that?
"I think there are two things for us: one is that we could have picked up the tempo a bit more, and the other is that if we could have made high-quality movements behind the defense, we could have broken down the opponent while continuing to play our style of football. However, I believe we saw some wonderful aspects from FC Tokyo, such as their disciplined and excellent defense, as well as their threatening counterattacks."
Do you believe that Yokohama FM's soccer is improving?
"I think we are improving. However, there are ups and downs on the path we aim for, with good times and bad times. The match against Sendai on Wednesday might have been a good game, but today, there is no smooth or easy path amidst the difficulties. I believe that all the players and staff in the Marinos' locker room are believing in and working towards Marinos' football. I think we are also making improvements."
Q=What is the reason for coach Ange POSTECOGLOU's absence and what is the outlook for his return?
"I had to return to Australia due to family circumstances. I hope to be back as soon as possible, within a few days."
