[Player and Coach Comments]
《Keigo HIGASHI》
"I think it was a great game where both sides showed their strengths and colors. I believe it was very good that we were able to achieve victory in that context."
(It seemed like they were playing with even more physicality than usual)
"I want to move up at least one rank, and since I've always ended up in mid-table, I feel it's a waste not to play with determination when there’s a chance to move up. I want to make this season a good one, so I'm really glad we were able to secure a victory here with three matches left."
(Towards the next match)
"Iwata is fighting to avoid relegation, so I think they will come with high motivation, and I want to fight with even more determination. We haven't won at home for a while, so I want to win somehow and celebrate together with the fans and supporters."
《Hyun Soo JANG》
(Entering the match)
"The worst thing I can do is to cause trouble for the team because of my own issues. I entered the match with the desire to repay the fans and supporters with my performance. The fact that the team won is everything."
(I think there were complicated feelings, but how do you feel these past few days?)
"As a professional player, I had to show a fighting spirit from training."
Of course, there were complex feelings and painful thoughts, but I believe that being able to win today's match while maintaining mind control is a very significant achievement.
(After the match, I bowed to the fans and supporters multiple times)
"In the last few matches, both as a team and individually, we haven't been able to perform well, and my feelings about not being able to present good results overlap with my personal feelings."
(How is the combination with player Niwa?)
"We have had many opportunities to play together in training, which has allowed us to understand and deepen our playing styles."
I could hear the Hyunsoo call many times.
I can only express my gratitude for the fans and supporters who called my name repeatedly.
We must give back to the fans and supporters, and we must strive to become a beloved football player for Tokyo.
Summary of the Press Conference with Tokyo's Kenta HASEGAWA
"It's been a while since we scored from a set piece, and there were some dangerous moments, but I believe everyone fought without losing focus. The next match is an important one at home, so I want to prepare thoroughly to ensure we can win against Iwata."
Q=In the second half, he was replaced by Tanabe from Takahagi, but did something happen to Takahagi?
"There were no major accidents, but my condition has not improved since last week. I was able to perform to some extent in the first half, but compared to my usual play, I was a bit lacking in aggressiveness. Last weekend, both Keigo HIGASHI and Sotan TANABE had very good performances in the practice match, so I brought Sotan in from the second half."
Q=I think Hyun Soo JANG was in a difficult mental state, but he scored a goal as a starter and ended up in tears. What are your impressions of the trust in him and his performance today?
"He must have had strong feelings about today's match, and I believe that right now he can only focus on soccer. In that sense, there was a strict warning from the team, and an announcement from the Korean Football Association, so it was a difficult situation, but I talked a little about being able to do our best for today's match. In that sense, he is the captain this season, and I trust him to go out on the pitch."
Q=What was the intention behind using player Ogawa in this match, what did you communicate before the match, and how did you receive the results?
Although Ryoya OGAWA's performance has been consistently good, it doesn't mean that Kosuke OTA was significantly poor. However, at this moment, I chose OGAWA because he is in better condition. In the first half, there were a few dangerous moments when he cut inside, but as time went on, I believe he showcased his strengths. If he had made solid contact with the second ball from the corner kick with his header, I would have had no complaints.
Q=Today's opponent was Yokohama FM, known for their ball movement. What are the strategies and objectives?
We respected them enough to start with a formation of 4-2-3-1 today, but if we get overwhelmed in the midfield, we can't build the game. So, in that sense, we started today by strengthening the midfield players to maintain a solid balance. However, I expected that there would be moments to compete, and in that regard, Lins and Kensuke NAGAI, who came on later, played in a way that posed a significant threat to the opponent, which I believe led to us holding on to the one-goal lead until the end.
Summary of the press conference by Yokohama FM coach Ange POSTECOGLOU
Unfortunately, the result was not rewarding, but I believe that they gave their all in response to everything I asked of them as players.
Q=In official matches, after four consecutive wins, there have been three consecutive losses. What do you think is the cause?
"It was a bit difficult pitch condition to fully showcase our football, but I believe the players did their best despite that."
Q=There have been 2 matches without scoring, but what are the reasons for not being able to score?
As I mentioned earlier, I don't think we had any major issues. It was a difficult pitch condition to play our style of football.
And I might be looking at it from a different perspective than everyone else. Instead of just looking at the result of zero, there are teams trying to score points, and there may have been aspects that prevented that. Including those aspects, I am observing.
