[Player and Coach Comments]
《Kotaro OMORI》
"I think we were able to show various attacking patterns, such as breaking through the center and using the sides as a starting point."
Everyone was fully engaged, and we were able to show aggression towards the goal along with a balance between offense and defense.
It was just a matter of making the decision...
However, I think we should not rush here.
I want to believe in what we have been working on as a team and think positively.
I want to prepare to win the last two matches with confidence from a battle like today.
《Kosuke OTA》
"It's really frustrating that we created so many chances but couldn't secure the 3 points."
The team's fighting style was good, and they managed to keep the goals conceded to zero.
There may still be challenges in terms of final accuracy and intensity...
As expected, there was a somber atmosphere in the locker room after the match, but everyone talked about switching gears together.
Because we have not lost the "possibility" yet.
It will be a two-week break, but I want to channel the frustration of not winning today into the next two matches.
Summary of the Press Conference with Tokyo's Kenta HASEGAWA
It was a match we wanted to win.
The players really played towards the opponent's goal until the very end.
It was a situation where we could have conceded a goal unexpectedly, but I truly believe that they did very well by maintaining their focus until the end and creating numerous chances.
Kawasaki's victory has been decided, and with 2 matches left, there is a 2-point difference with Kashima, so I believe there is still a chance for ACL qualification. We want to prepare thoroughly for the next match against the champions, Kawasaki, and aim for victory. Since it is also the final home game, we want to fight to end on a good note.
Q=What were your thoughts on the substitution card?
Until about the 25th minute of the second half, we didn't make any changes because it was a very good game in terms of content. If we made substitutions and lost our balance, resulting in poor attacks, it would have been pointless. In that sense, it was undoubtedly a very difficult game.
Of course, there was the option of Diego for the first substitution.
However, since he has been performing as the ace throughout the season, I believed in him until the end and did not substitute him.
There were chances created from the combination of Lins and Diego, and with that kind of play in mind, Lins was brought in.
Around the 35th minute, Diego's power started to decline, and in the last 10 minutes, I brought in Nagai and Yajima, betting on a single chance.
Today's match was characterized by controlling the sides, breaking through, and delivering crosses, so I was hoping for a decisive moment from Yajima.
However, I believe that despite the many times we can be caught off guard in such an exciting development, we played with concentration until the end.
Summary of the Press Conference of Hiroshi NANAMI, Coach of Jubilo Iwata
"For about the first 15 minutes, we were able to pick up second balls, the players' spacing was very good, and we were able to control the game at our pace."
However, from midway through, the pressure and the movement after winning the ball became quicker, and the defense became quite heavy. Still, I think we were able to avoid it at the last moment.
The missed penalty, which will likely be a key point in this game, is certainly significant, and it is also important that Kaminski made a series of fine saves in the second half, ending the match without conceding any goals. A hard-fought and resilient point earned.
I admit that it was definitely Tokyo that lost 2 points, but I believe we gained a significant point in a difficult away environment as we aim for survival.
Despite that, on a positive note, Ominami faced Diego without hesitation. There were certainly moments when he was easily passed, but I believe he fought back time and time again.
Ooi was able to maintain his balance while keeping his center of gravity forward during the covering part.
Therefore, I believe that one of the reasons we did not experience a major collapse was that the number of shots faced did not increase significantly.
Another positive element is that Musaev has returned. Although there were some easy mistakes, there was a scene where he slid in midfield to win the ball, and then he made a strong effort to return to defense on our right side and competed with Nagai.
Scenes like that are his strong points. Since such plays have emerged, I believe his injury condition is good, and after joining the team, time has passed, allowing him to consult on both the team's approach and his own condition, which I think led to a good performance in the end.
That said, we still haven't secured our place in the league, and there are two more tough matches ahead, but while earning points that will connect to next season, I want to make an effort to show an energetic game to all the supporters in our final home match.
