[Player/Coach Comments]
"Tsuyoshi WATANABE"
(Reflecting on today's overall play)
"I want to become a center back who can score goals, but I believe that there is no value in that if I cannot help the team win. Scoring goals is important, but today's game was entered with the determination to keep a clean sheet, so I have to reflect on the fact that we were not able to do that."
(Looking back at the scoring scene)
"I wanted to score from a corner kick before the game started. A great ball came from player Ota, so all I had to do was jump in with determination and score."
(Was it a goal as expected?)
"After joining Tokyo and going through training and practice matches, I felt that movement and positioning were important, so I played while being conscious of that. As a result, I was able to score a goal as expected from Ota player, and it was a moment where the results of my training paid off."
(How was it defensively?)
"In the first half, we were able to control the ball at our own pace. However, in the second half, due to the opponent's player substitutions, we ended up playing defensively and allowed them to take control of the game, resulting in conceding points. We were unable to control the flow of the game effectively."
(Scene of the second goal)
"It was my first experience. I didn't predict that Cristiano would kick a high cross ball from that position in just one step. If I had thought about that kind of ball, I would have taken a different positioning. I think this experience is very important, so I want to use this frustration to my advantage in the future."
"Takumi NAKAMURA"
"Looking back on today's game, there were some areas where we were able to attack. However, throughout the game, I felt that we were still physically inferior, so I want to continue to grow from now on."
(It was a very calm start to the game)
"I think we had a very good start to the game as a team. However, in the second half, the opponent had possession of the ball for a lot of time and the game progressed at their pace."
(About the feeling of momentum in the attacking part)
"In the attack, I felt that if we could improve the accuracy of the final move and finish, it would lead to results. I felt that if we could improve our cooperation with our teammates, it would lead to more chances."
(It was a full appearance)
"Of course, it's a happy thing. However, I'm not satisfied with the results. I want to continue working harder to contribute to the team's results."
"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"I think we were able to enter the game in a good shape by scoring the first goal. We had a chance to score a second goal, so I believe if we had scored there, the result of the game could have changed."
The last two goals were just praise for Cristiano. A wonderful ball came in pinpoint. However, the group stage has just begun, so we want to fight firmly in the remaining five games and advance to the prime stage by taking one point away.
(Were there many chances to add points in the first half, but were there any parts that became sloppy in the second half?)
"I don't think it was sloppy, but I think it's a future challenge that we got tired in the second half and the opponent DF was able to supply the ball freely to the front line."
Jael made his first start in an official match, and I think he showed his strengths very well when he was energetic. However, he received a yellow card and showed signs of fatigue, so I thought it was time to substitute him.
"We will now be facing Sendai in just 2 days for the next Levain Cup group stage match, but we will carefully consider our team lineup,"
"Kashiwa NELSINHO Coach Press Conference Summary"
"We were able to enter the game by moving the ball well in the build-up, while spreading the ball from the beginning. However, at halftime, we told the players that the opponent was dominating the game due to the short time between taking and losing the ball. We instructed them to firmly shut down the opponent's midfield. By fixing that part in the second half, Tokyo's build-up stopped functioning. I think that was one of the major factors that led to the result this time."
(For the first time this season, we adopted a 3-back formation?)
"As for the positioning of this game, we have been talking to the players about fighting firmly in the B team, and since last Friday, we have been tactically preparing for this game. Even when looking at the characteristics of our players, there are players who have experience playing in a 3-back formation, and among those who have never played in a 3-back formation, he has been training to be able to adapt to it since last week, and I think his performance has been very good.
In order to fight through the season, we also adopted a 3-back formation this time in order to increase our options for how to fight as a team."
