《Tokyo U-23 - Summary of the Press Conference by Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA》
(Reflecting on the match)
"Despite having many fans and supporters come from Tokyo to cheer for us, I feel it is a shame that we ended up with a comeback loss."
Regarding the match, the first half was played calmly, with the rhythm alternating between Tokyo and the opponent, so I thought the decisive moments would come in the second half.
In the midst of that, we were able to break through the center and take the lead early in the second half.
However, when the opponent started to apply pressure afterwards, we became passive, and our overall movement after regaining the ball slowed down. If we could have effectively shaken off the opponent, we could have suppressed their momentum, but I think we were unable to do that. The opponent had many players with ideas in front of the goal, and we were outmaneuvered.
I think we were inferior to our opponents in the decisive moments of today's match, so I spoke to the players after the game.
While it is important to play our own game, we want to be conscious of winning each individual battle and connecting that to the next.
