[Player/Coach Comments]
"Kosuke OTA"
(It was a game at a stadium filled with the Tokyo atmosphere, with buildings nearby.)
"It was really refreshing. I think there were people peeking from inside the buildings (laughs)"
(Winning was a big deal)
"What was most important was that the team won. Personally, it was great to be able to play for 90 minutes in an official match after a long time."
(What kind of communication did Kubo have in the FK scene?)
"I told him to kick a fast ball to the open course by pretending to kick once and running through. As a result, I think it was good that it led to a goal. I also had chances for FK and CK, so it would have been even better if I could make a play that led to a goal."
"Takefusa KUBO"
(Thoughts after scoring a goal)
"Sorry for the wait."
(I have always said the word "goal" on a daily basis)
"I can say it because I scored a goal, but honestly, it's a feeling of relief. We were able to create much better opportunities compared to last season, so I'm happy that it resulted in this way."
(Ota said, "I thought it would be decided if I kicked it into that course." He said, "To be honest, I didn't think it was a course that would be decided, and I was wondering what kind of kick to do. Ota said, "I think it's good to kick here," and I was able to decide by borrowing the experience of someone who has scored many FKs. I've never kicked and decided from that angle.")
"I thought it would be decided if I kicked it into that course."
(Is the trajectory as you imagined?)
"I was able to kick to the course I imagined."
(Regarding scoring a free kick for the first time in the top team, which I had previously only done in U-18 and national team matches)
"I believe that even if the category changes, I just have to trust what I have and play, so in that sense, I think my range has expanded by being able to score from set pieces."
(The first shot was also very close)
"I couldn't score, and today I didn't have a good feeling for shooting. But I think everything will be fine if it ends well."
(I scored a goal and ran towards the coach)
"In a situation where we needed a goal at 0-0 and there were other players, the coach chose to use me as the first card. I felt that I had to answer that trust with results, so my relief and gratitude were expressed in that action."
(Was there a special feeling?)
"I think I have improved compared to last season and I have been taught a lot. I am at a level where I can absorb it, so it was good to be able to produce results for being used continuously. It's still a long way to go, but I want to ride the wave even more."
(How was the game at Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Stadium?)
"I thought it was strange to have a soccer field in the middle of the city, and I felt a big psychological impact."
(For the weekend league match)
"I have to connect this goal to the next one. It's up to me whether I can ride this wave or not. I also want to score again."
"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"A game we absolutely wanted to win. It was a huge result for us. We knew it was going to be a tough game and we thought it would be a one-goal game from the middle. Kenei came on and scored in the Levain Cup last season, and also in the first home game against Niigata. We hope this will be a catalyst for us to get results in the league this season."
Today, since Kashiwa lost, three teams are tied with 3 points. The next Kashiwa match will be held at home against Omiya, and we want to win solidly. In the league, we want to prepare to fight against Kashima, who is strong in winning and plays like an Asian champion.
(How was the event at Chichibunomiya?)
"It was an amazing stadium. I could really feel that it is considered the holy land of rugby. Before stepping onto the pitch, there were steps and I thought it was really wonderful."
The locker room was also amazing, and this stadium was one where you could see them fighting for their lives.
That's why I think it was a game we had to win no matter what. It was really good to get 3 points."
(What instructions did you give when sending off Kubo? After scoring, he immediately hugged you)
"We had talked about "relying on him" before the match, and I had told him that he might play depending on the situation. He showed results in just 30 minutes, and I thought he was a player who had what it takes. I didn't expect him to run towards me, so I thought he was a considerate player (laughs)"
(I think Kubo has grown physically, but which part do you feel has grown?)
"I think everything has scaled up with everyone. He is a player who can break through any situation and has no problem with physical fitness even in league matches. I feel that his physical strength and endurance have also grown."
"Sagan Tosu - Lluis CARRERAS Press Conference Summary"
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all the Sagan Tosu fans who have come from far away in this bad weather. In the previous league match, our defense was weak, but today we were able to see good defense leading to finishes. However, we were unable to finish in the final moments. FC Tokyo has high-quality players, and they have a talented player, Takefusa KUBO, who was able to score a dangerous free kick from a dangerous position. This is what I truly think soccer is all about."
(Both defense and offense were good, but from the coach's perspective, a draw was a reasonable result.)
"I think we did well in both defense and offense."
Quality is important in the end. The opponent had players who could make decisive plays, so this is the result. However, I personally think that the attitude shown by the Tosu players today deserved a draw. I think it is important to continue showing that kind of attitude to the fans."
