[Player and Coach Comments]
Masato MORISHIGE
It was a game where we focused on defense for 90 minutes without being able to score.
"Taking the flow of the first half into account, we discussed various scenarios during halftime. It was a challenging game from the start, and today the opponent had a higher quality than us.
However, even during the long periods of the opponent's possession, the entire team was able to endure and fight back by transitioning from defense to attack. I think we were able to prepare for the summer as well.
(Did the nightmare from last season in Suita not resurface?)
"While fighting on the pitch, I didn't feel like I was being defeated.
During the match, I was thinking about how to finish the game. It was ideal to bring it to a situation like the Hiroshima match, but I was able to achieve at least the minimum result.
(Considering the long season, today's point is significant)
I think it holds great meaning. However, during the summer, there will be many developments like today.
In order to score a goal among those, we must elevate the quality of our attack beyond what it is now, so I believe that is a challenge for the future.
(This makes it 10 unbeaten matches in the league)
"It is important not to lose. We have been able to improve on the issues that arose in each match for the next game. I hope we can continue this throughout the season."
(I feel that the team has grown to a higher level compared to last season)
"First of all, we must not concede any goals. If we concede, we have to score two goals. Of course, winning is the most important thing, but I think it's important to earn one point in matches like this during a long season."
《Ryoya OGAWA》
(Looking back at the shooting scene in the second half)
"I moved the ball from the right side and penetrated into the center, aiming for a shot. I really wanted to score, but I felt I needed a bit more practice. However, looking back at the entire match, I think it was very significant to bring home 1 point in the end."
(In that scene, I pretended to pass to Omori and aimed for a shot)
"While looking for a timing where we could both shoot, it was an unfamiliar situation for me to be standing on the goal side. I managed to evade one defender with a kick feint, but ended up hitting the opponent instead, and the ball rolled toward the goal... It was very frustrating because it was so close."
(How is it to play on the right side?)
"When I think about the meaning of being a left-footed player on the right side, I believe I can't play the same way as a right-footed player like Muroya. So, I approach the game thinking about going inside and contributing to the buildup."
(He was sending in several crosses with his right foot)
"As long as I'm on the right side, there will inevitably be situations where I need to break through vertically, so I have to show that I can do it with my right foot as well. If I only cut in every time, the opponent will adjust, so I tried to make a few vertical runs."
(Collaboration with the right side half)
"Both Kubo and Na SANGHO are highly skilled players, so if you pass the ball to them, they will manage to do something with it. It's very easy to work with them."
(I had the impression that we were able to defend very tightly against the opponent's side half)
"He is a scary player when he faces forward, so I focused on closing the distance. Also, I thought he could be a threat with his cut-ins leading to crosses or shots, so I was able to defend while cooperating with the other players."
(Towards the next)
"I believe that to make today's point meaningful, the next match will be very important, so I want to prepare well for the next one."
《Tokyo - Summary of Director Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference》
"Yesterday, when I arrived in Osaka, it was cool, but today it was a match in very hot conditions typical of Osaka."
I have been watching most of G Osaka's matches, and it felt like they were up against the best team of the season.
Today's G Osaka came out with the same lineup that won against Kawasaki and had a wonderful battle against Kobe in the first half. The players have fought in line with the coach's intentions.
However, since I had anticipated such predictions, I wanted the Tokyo players to fight firmly even during tough times, knowing that there would definitely be openings to exploit, including set plays. But there weren't many openings. Last season, we allowed Ademilson to score in stoppage time here, but today we can take home one point. This is not a bad result. The league matches will continue to be tough, so I want to prepare thoroughly.
《G Osaka - Tsuneyasu MIYAMOTO Coach Press Conference Summary》
"Today, Kim Young-gwon and Suganuma responded well to the opponent's biggest weapon, the quick counterattack. There were moments in the early part of the first half when the line was deep, but I think their line control gradually improved from there."
In the end, there were moments when the opponent took shots in the penalty area, but there were also instances where they stood firm and showcased their strengths.
Although I have put Captain Miura on the bench, I want to thoroughly analyze what kind of performance we can deliver at this stage and consider the team composition that will lead us to victory.
