≪Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA Press Conference Summary≫
"I heard that some people came to support today's match following yesterday's J1 League game at Ajinomoto Stadium. Thank you very much.
We fought for three points, but we only managed to secure one point. I feel that we need a bit more determination to win.
As can be seen from the composition of the members, many young players from the U-18 team participated in today's match. Among them, it was great to see players from the top team, such as Niwa, Hirakawa, and Shinada, who, despite the difficult situation, prioritized the team and played while being mindful of those around them.
There were three good points in the match content.
The first point is that we did not lose in battles for the ball, and the defensive line did not drop back. The second point is that we were able to attack positively towards the goal. The third point is that we were able to maintain a resilient defense in front of our own goal, communicating with each other centered around Go HATANO.
That said, we need to be able to overwhelm our opponents in matches like today, and throughout the game, I hope the young players can grow even more.
(At the beginning of the season, we were conceding goals, but we have not conceded in the last two matches)
"Each individual clearly understands what they need to do, and the first team has excellent defense, so I believe everyone feels the positive aspects as we train together.
I think it's great that a player with a career like Niwa is coaching young players, conveying important lessons, and encouraging them.
