[Player/Coach Comments]
"Insoo YU"
"I had been thinking about reacting to the ball faster than the opponent before entering the game. As an individual, there were tough times this season, but it became a rewarding goal."
(This season, I made my first start in the top team)
"I have been working hard every day to earn the trust of the coach. I think it was very good that it resulted in a goal and I was able to respond to the selection."
(Instructions from the coach)
"I was told to actively break through the opponent's DF line. In terms of defense, I was instructed to aggressively go for the ball from the front, so I was thinking of giving everything I had."
(The coach himself also highly evaluated the recent play)
"For me, I have been maintaining a good condition and preparing for this day. As for the members, I don't know who will be chosen and when, but when chosen, I always think about getting results."
"Kotaro OMORI"
"I think it was great that we were able to advance to the group stage. I feel that the soccer of coach Masaru HASEGAWA, who is in his second year, has been permeating through the team. Everyone is playing soccer with the same mindset. Even if we have a bad flow, I think it's very important that we are able to keep it at zero."
(The team has changed since the last league match, and young players have also emerged. I think there are parts where player Ohmori is leading the team)
"I don't have the conscious of leading the team, I just do my best in my play. I think understanding what we as a team need to do and being able to do it properly is what leads to these results."
(For the next game)
"I want to make good preparations and achieve good results again next time."
"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"The players really did their best. It was great to be able to respond to the feelings of the fans and supporters who came all the way to support us from far away."
In the first half, there were players who were playing in a cup match for the first time in a while, so there were some chaotic moments, but experienced players were able to lead the team and we were able to get through the first half with a score of 0-0. I think that led to the second half battle. It was a difficult match where we needed at least a draw to advance to the group stage, but the players fought with determination and as a result, we were able to achieve something we couldn't last year, which was advancing to the group stage. We want to prepare well for the playoff stage."
(This team has secured a spot in the Levain Cup group stage. How do you perceive its significance?)
"This week was a very difficult schedule, and it was a challenging situation to bring the same members from the previous league match."
I will return to Tokyo tomorrow and leave for Osaka the day after tomorrow. In such a situation, I managed to select 18 members and I think everyone responded to those expectations.
Nakamura also played in the first and second rounds of the Levain Cup, and I think he fought with the desire to win today! He showed his determination by taking a shot that led to the winning goal, and he played a game that will lead to the next one.
Even for Okazaki, although he is doing well as a supporting defensive midfielder in the league, he realized that he still needs more experience when he has to be the main player and control the game.
Learn many things by winning. Of course, there are things that could have been done differently, but I think there are also things that you can only understand by winning, more than by losing.
I think that winning will give today's members the joy of victory and give the team a great boost of energy.
I think the members who didn't come today have to work hard this weekend, and I feel that being able to produce results while fighting in the league and cup matches as a team will lead to the next step.
"Sagan Tosu - Myung Hwi KIM Press Conference Summary"
"We wanted to show a winning game while taking advantage of the home field and with many supporters coming, but unfortunately we lost and feel sorry about it."
Regarding the match, in the first half we were able to create a situation where we could push the opponent as planned, and we were able to take advantage of their forward movement by picking up second balls and creating scoring opportunities.
However, we couldn't make a decision and conceded a goal from a mistake just before the end of the first half. From there, in the second half, we couldn't create many chances as the opponent was content with a draw.
I think it was a game that led to the next one, but there are still areas that need to be improved. We still need to make adjustments, including the players' cooperation.
