[Player/Coach Comments]

"Shuto ABE"
"I think my debut in the J3 league match the other day was evaluated by the coach and led to my appearance today. It was a chasing game, but the coach told me to "go for it" and I played with that in mind."

(As the saying goes, there were many bold plays throughout the game)
"My strong points are my physicality and ability to steal the ball. I think I was able to show that, but there are still areas where I can improve, so I feel the need to work on them. There were moments where I could have stolen the ball more. I feel like I need to practice more."

(I wanted to score a goal in the shooting scene)
"I received a lateral pass from Diego OLIVEIRA and took a shot. I aimed for a specific spot and kicked carefully, but it hit the DF, so I think I should have swung my leg more boldly."

(Watching Iniesta)
"Even if I am told to do that play, I cannot do it, but I want to become a player who can steal the ball from Iniesta."

(I think I heard Abe's chant)
"That chant was made during my U-18 days. It's been 4 years since I last heard it, so I felt nostalgic and happy to hear it again."

(This year, I will continue to play with two different shoes)
"When I come to Tokyo, I want to play to the best of my abilities and be able to give back to my university when I return."

(Nervousness was also present at J1 debut)
"Personally, I am not the type to get nervous, so I was able to smoothly enter the pitch."

(Is the progress so far as expected, or is it faster?)
"I didn't expect to make my J1 debut at this timing, but I was always prepared to play at any time."

"Kiichi YAJIMA"
(Made his first start in a J1 League match)
"I entered the game with the determination to make something happen, but I couldn't score, so I'm really disappointed."

(What kind of play did you focus on?)
"Being the starting point in the front line. However, I think the most expected thing was to score goals. It was really just a little bit left."

(Collaboration with Diego OLIVEIRA)
"We had a preparation period, so we were able to communicate closely."
I played while thinking about what kind of play could bring out the characteristics of Diego OLIVEIRA.
It would have been good if we could have scored one point together. Rather than a good play, I really wanted the result, so I'm really frustrated."

"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"Today's game was a highly anticipated one for various reasons. I spoke to the players and told them that today's game was very important, so let's fight hard. We started off by observing the situation, but then the players started playing aggressively. There were many scenes where we could have scored if we had been more decisive. The fact that we couldn't convert our chances in the first half ended up costing us in the second half. We should have been more aggressive from the start, but we also couldn't attack the ball in the beginning of the second half and ended up conceding a goal."
They continued to show plays that threatened the opponent's goal. We want to switch gears and prepare for the next Levain Cup."

(What did you do and what didn't you do without Kubo and Nagai?)
「What we were able to do was create many opportunities even without them.」
If the number of shots is less than 10, there may be a problem with the attack, but the official record shows 12 shots. We were also able to create scoring opportunities. However, not being able to score is a challenge. We don't need to look down after today's result, so we just have to keep going.

(The opponent's coach said that Tokyo's strengths are quick attacks and set plays, and when Kobe was defending, they couldn't break through)
"I can't say anything because we lost. There's no point in arguing against it."
It is important to achieve results in the next match. Both teams had chances, but we couldn't convert our opportunities into goals. I think our approach to football is different, so the way we create chances and the style of football we play is also different. There is no one way to play football. We want to continue playing our style of football in the future."

(What about the use and evaluation of player Abe?)
"He did well. In the end of the game, when the players were tired, we needed to take the ball from the opponent. He can also play in the front line, so we expect his mobility and use him."

"Kobe - Thorsten FINK Press Conference Summary"
"First of all, I want to thank everyone at the club. We were able to work smoothly and it led to this result."
We aim to play an aggressive style of football, prioritizing possession in the first half. However, we ended up being on the receiving end of the opponent's quick attacks.
The opponent's coach probably couldn't predict how we would play or what formation we would use. We decided to put Wellington behind Villa. He can control the ball, so when Tokyo pressed, we could send a long ball to Wellington and attack from there.
Today's game was an unpredictable one, but we managed to secure the victory. Iniesta was the key player.
Not only scoring goals, but he also showed his quality as a leader. It wasn't planned for him to play for 90 minutes, but I think it's because we saw his character and determination. When he took on a defensive position, he didn't give the opponent any chances.
Today's victory was not achieved by one player, but by the entire team.
There are still difficult matches ahead.
Tokyo is a really strong team. They have both speed and technique. They respect their opponents' coach. That's why I think today's victory is valuable.
"I am grateful for today's stadium and atmosphere."
