《Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA's Press Conference Summary》
"First of all, despite the fact that there is a top team match today, it was very reassuring that the fans and supporters came to cheer us on.
I am relieved that we were able to deliver a victory.
Regarding the match, the key point was how far we, with an average starting age of 17, could challenge Kumamoto, who is currently in first place with six consecutive wins.
I believed that by not stopping our feet and positively stealing the ball from Kumamoto, who builds their attacks from the buildup, we could create chances.
We conceded one goal, but without backing down, we played positively and managed to score two goals.
It is commendable that we fought hard for the ball without fear and moved towards the goal.
Despite having chances to score the third and fourth goals, we must reflect on the fact that we couldn't convert them, so we have no choice but to build up our training.
The match continues, but our goal is to send as many players as possible to the top team.
I know the pressure of fighting for the region like Kumamoto, but the U-23 players are also putting their lives on the line and persevering through it.
The U-18 players are also working hard to seize their opportunities, so I want to respond to their passionate feelings and continue to do my best.
