"Tokyo U-23 Tetsu NAGASAWA Manager's Press Conference Summary"
"Despite today's J1 league match being held in Sendai, I am extremely grateful to the fans and supporters who have created an atmosphere where we can fight at Nishigaoka. I am even more excited to be able to deliver a victory."
Numazu has a fast vertical soccer style, using a lot of direct plays. They have the strength to pick up the loose balls and launch a wave-like attack. So, today we focused on being able to move the ball forward after picking up the loose balls, rather than kicking it easily, and approached the game with that one point in mind.
The defense line consisted of an average of 16-17 year old youth players, but as they experienced games like this multiple times, they gradually improved their ability to make decisions during difficult times and were able to defend when needed and connect when needed. Go HATANO also held his ground and the defense line did a great job.
Overall, the movement was slow and small. In the previous match, we were able to move strongly without fear of risk, and we were able to return the ball when it didn't come out. I think that part was sluggish today. However, it was good that we were able to control the game firmly without rushing.
The game is still going on. Let's continue to challenge in the next one.
