[Player and Coach Comments]
《Yojiro TAKAHAGI》
"Last year we couldn't score a single point.
Anyway, just the fact that the team wins makes me happy."
(Looking back at the scoring scene)
"I felt like a chance was coming, so I ran, but it was more like my body moved rather than me thinking and moving. In any case, I thought the team needed one more goal, so it was good that I was able to secure that with my own score."
(Immediately after scoring, I went to the fans and supporters)
"It was great to be able to share the joy with the fans and supporters since we were so close."
Kento HASHIMOTO
"The opponent had the ball for a long time, but there were several moments when we stole the ball and created chances. However, I wanted to increase that number more."
(Today, the image was to lure the opponent in to take advantage of the situation)
"Rather than luring them in, I entered with the mindset of going to win the ball at first. However, the opponent also had high technical skills, and especially when their defensive midfielder had the ball in a good position, they distributed high-quality balls from there, so we ended up applying pressure while solidifying the center."
(There was a scene where we could have scored the third goal)
"If we had been able to score the third goal during the chances we had, I think we could have managed the game more easily. I knew that if we couldn't score the third goal, the opponent's momentum would increase towards the end of the match, so I want to make that a point to work on in the future."
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
"Many fans and supporters came to Nagoya, and we were able to achieve a victory that met their expectations. Unlike Sapporo, it was very humid and although the temperature was not high, the humidity was high, making it a tough match.
We were able to maintain our concentration until the end, but there was a moment when we could have scored the third goal. If we had scored there, the match would have been decided. We conceded a goal due to a mistake, but after that, we were able to calmly manage the game. Being able to earn 3 points at the historic Paloma Mizuho Stadium gives the team confidence.
(About how to fight against a team with three backs)
"In the match against Hiroshima (two matches ago), it was hot, and I wanted to press from the front, but my body wouldn't move. Because of that match, I was able to play aggressively in the next match against Sapporo. I didn't expect the opponent to have three backs today, but I was able to respond well. I was able to challenge what I couldn't do in the Hiroshima match. From now on, I want to make sure we can score against teams with three backs as well."
(Although Mita was brought on at the start of the second half, perhaps there were expectations for him to get involved with the two forwards)
"While there were expectations for him to get involved in the attack, Omori did well in the first half, but I think he could have done a little more. Mita can play the role of distributing the ball without rushing in the attack. If the forward plus one more player doesn't get involved, it won't lead to goals. Nagai made some runs and got involved, and I think Mita was very good overall."
(Takahagi scored his first goal of the season, marking his first goal in two seasons)
"He has been doing what he can do well. Despite being involved in the attack frequently, he hadn't been able to score. However, today he scored properly. I want him to approach the future with confidence. He has been very proactive in practicing shooting, and the results showed. I hope he continues to aim for goals from now on."
《Nagoya - Yahiro KAZAMA Coach Press Conference Summary》
I think we were able to play football with a good rhythm from the first half. It was a bit disappointing to concede a goal there, but more than that, it was painful to concede a goal when we tried to step up our game in the second half.
However, there were players who played in unfamiliar positions today, and it was quite difficult to get the team together, but I believe we were able to create our shape and attack until the end. I have said this many times, but we need to somehow address the issue of our final accuracy.
