Summary of the press conference with FC Tokyo U-23 coach Tetsu NAGASAWA
"First of all, since this is a home game at J-VILLAGE Stadium in Fukushima Prefecture, it has been a while since I came to J-VILLAGE. I have heard that the area has been significantly affected by the recent Typhoon No. 19, in addition to the recovery from the earthquake disaster. I am grateful that today's game could be held under such circumstances, and I want to think about what we can do as a club to continue moving forward with the recovery. I feel that today's match has also been meaningful."
To put it simply, the match was good in the first half, but the second half turned into a struggle. Especially in the second half, the timing between the forwards and the defense was off, making it difficult to advance the ball forward. The causes were fatigue and the spacing between players. While the spacing can change depending on the situation, it seemed like we spent more time standing still. I believe that showing our presence in such situations is the significance of participating in this J3.
16-year-old Yasuda has played in 6 matches so far, getting accustomed to the ball speed and bravely trying to advance the ball. Substitute Kobayashi also played confidently, which gave a sense of possibility even in a stagnant match. From the first half, players like Shinada, Miyazaki, and Nakamura also showed a desire to get involved in J1. Yesterday, Arthur SILVA delivered results in J1, and Uchida came on as a substitute during a crucial time. I believe that players who have been participating in U-23 and are now playing in J1 and achieving results will create momentum towards winning J1. I also want to maintain high intensity in the remaining matches in J3.
