"FC Tokyo U-23 Tetsu NAGASAWA Manager Press Conference Summary"

"First of all, I am grateful to have been able to play the game in Fukushima Prefecture, where there are many people who have been affected and are suffering from the recent heavy rain. We can only play on the pitch right now, so we want to do our best."

The game was difficult to maintain a one-point lead with a young team averaging 19 years old, so we had discussed trying to score multiple goals and win. As a result, we were able to score two points and win, and the players fought hard.

FC Tokyo U-18's Yuji WAKASA, who was born and raised in the team, scored the opening goal, but we were able to create chances in the first half and even had some dangerous moments. Our center backs, Kimura and Omori, have been getting stronger with each game and were able to make crucial tackles and prevent the opponents from getting to the ball first. This is something we have been working on in both training and games. In today's match, our goalkeeper and center backs held their ground well.

The last scoring scene was when Hinda ran courageously to the goal line and gave a good cross during a physically challenging time. Although Hara scored the point, multiple players were in front of the goal, and the players are now able to make the decision to run forward even at the risk of making a mistake. I think that in order to win in J1, it is essential to have players who can make the final decision in difficult situations. In that sense, Hinda, Hara, and Na SANGHO all ran well and played an active role.

"It is normal for a team to move forward with confidence, but for U-23, the players are doing it in order to be involved in J1, so I hope they will continue to make even more of an appeal starting from next week's practice."
