《FC Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA Press Conference Summary》
"I am grateful that fans and supporters have come all the way to Kagawa today to cheer for us."
The game was approached with an aggressive hard work mentality, in line with Tokyo's concept, confirming that we would fight to the end and secure a solid victory. I believe the players executed this well. From the beginning, we were able to progress the game while creating situations for ball contests. Even though Sanuki was skilled in their ball movement, we were able to create our target areas and take possession.
As an overall issue, during attacks when the opponent's balance is disrupted, the quality slightly dropped when trying to increase speed. The judgment of the situation itself was not wrong, but there were challenges in terms of passing the ball and matching the speed of teammates. I think the attitude of aiming for one goal, then two, three, or four was good, so I hope we can improve the quality beyond that.
The J1 league is also continuing with fierce battles, so I want you to appeal from next week's training so that you can get involved with the J1 league members from among this group.
Finally, Sanuki has players from our youth organization, including Wataru SASAKI, Kentaro SHIGEMATSU, and Kazuki HATTORI, who are working hard with determination, and not just I, but the entire club is watching them. We hope that everyone will continue to support us.
