"FC Tokyo U-23 Tetsu NAGASAWA Manager Press Conference Summary"
"We are grateful to the fans and supporters who came to watch our game, despite it being held at the same time as the J1 League."
The past few games have been good, but today's game lacked speed and aggressiveness, so even though we are trying our best, it feels a bit unsatisfying.
Overall, the team tended to return the ball to the back without making a forward decision when they took possession, which led to conceding chances in the beginning and also in the second half. We needed to be the ones to initiate the attack in the beginning, but instead we allowed the opponent to gain momentum. While it is not necessarily a bad choice to return the ball to the back, I think our players still have a narrow perspective when it comes to choosing that play while the opponent is targeting it. I hope they can learn from this, especially since they are still young.
However, if we had scored the best chance, it would have been an interesting game. I think it was a play that wasn't difficult to score, but I think that was the turning point of the game.
In any case, there are still immature parts that need to be filled in. In order to continue as a player rather than as a team, I must recognize and overcome my weaknesses.
