《FC Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA Press Conference Summary》
We are grateful to the fans and supporters who came to watch our match despite the simultaneous scheduling with the J1 League.
The last few matches had been good in terms of content, but regarding today, it lacked a sense of speed and was hard to describe as aggressive, so while I think they are trying hard, I felt it was a bit unsatisfactory.
Overall, the frequent decision to pass the ball backward instead of moving forward when winning the ball was a factor that led to early pressure, and in the second half, we needed to take the initiative, but we allowed the opponent to gain momentum. While choosing to pass the ball backward is not inherently bad, I think it shows a narrow perspective when that choice is made while the opponent is targeting that play. Since they are still young, I hope they can learn from this.
However, if we had converted the biggest chance, it would have been an interesting game. I think it was a play that wasn't difficult to score, but perhaps that was the turning point of the match.
In any case, there are still immature aspects, so we need to fill those gaps. To continue as an individual player rather than as a team, I must recognize and overcome my weaknesses.
