[Player/Coach Comments]
"Diego OLIVEIRA"
(I think we were able to play the game in a good flow in the second half)
"Today's game is against the strong G Osaka, who has a lot of talent, even though it's an away game, so it was easy to imagine that it would be a difficult game. In that situation, we made adjustments in the second half and were able to create space, which made it easier to launch quick attacks and I think we were able to execute our ideal offense."
(Recently, I have been playing more on the side rather than as a FW, but I am confident in my abilities)
"I played a lot on the side during my time in Brazil, so I don't feel any discomfort playing there. This position requires a lot of physicality, so I know it's a tough position, but I want to contribute to the team and help make the team even better."
(Looking back at the opening goal)
"Nagai put pressure on the opponent's DF and chased after them multiple times. Nagai was trying to avoid the GK, but the ball ended up coming to me. There was no GK in the goal, so it wasn't my dominant foot, but I was able to accurately score and I think that was good."
(Today's goal was my 50th goal in J1. I am happy that it led to a victory.
"I am glad to have scored a goal and contributed to the team's victory in today's match. I came from the other side of the world and now I am playing here. I was able to score this memorable 50th goal in such an environment. I want to continue practicing and scoring goals to contribute to the team in the future.")
"Joan OUMARI"
(Please review today's game)
"G Osaka really worked hard and made good attacks, so it wasn't an easy game. However, in the second half, we were able to play our own soccer. I think everyone was able to concentrate and show the team's strength."
It was my first victory in a full game in J1 since coming to Tokyo, so I am really happy.
However, we have no time to rest as the next game is coming up. The next one will be the Levain Cup, and we want to make sure we prepare well as a team and win for sure."
(How did you play with the awareness of suppressing G Osaka's attacking force?)
"I knew before the game that G Osaka had great players."
In the final stage, we also tried to make a power play, but it was important to first show our own strength regardless of the opponent. We aimed to compete with the team's strength, believing in our own abilities and covering for each other's mistakes. I think that's what led to today's victory, and in the future, no matter who the opponent is, we want to play our own soccer first and foremost, and keep that in mind as we play."
"Player Akihiro HAYASHI"
(From G Osaka's Watanabe player, I was able to successfully defend against two shots from close range. Looking back on that scene)
"At that moment, it was more of a reaction than a thought to stop it. That's my honest impression. Lately, I've been able to practice with that kind of awareness, so I think that was the result of a successful shot stop."
(Looking back on the entire match)
"The first half was an unfortunate goal. We managed to keep it at zero after taking the lead, but we ended up conceding a goal. It was very frustrating. However, from there, we were aware that we were playing away and we approached the match with the intention of keeping it at one goal."
(About defensive formation)
"It would be best if we could put pressure on from the front, but during this busy summer schedule, the risk of the team falling apart is greater."
I believe that we can fully demonstrate our strength when we can go, but even when we build a block and defend firmly, we are not playing defensively, and I think we were able to defend to some extent as expected throughout the game. I think it's important to have control even in defense."
"Tokyo - Manager Kenta HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"We took the lead in the first half, and then went through a tough period, but I think limiting the opponent's score to one point led to the second half. In the second half, we made some changes to the system, and Takahagi added an accent to our attack."
In the first half, we were unable to smoothly move the ball forward, but in the second half we were able to play the game at our own rhythm and tempo. Although we were unable to score additional points, we were able to finish the game by scoring points in the end, which was good.
In the previous match, the substitute players were unable to change the flow of the game. We talked about playing Tokyo's soccer together as a team, regardless of who starts or comes on as a substitute. I think it was great that all the players came together and were able to defeat G Osaka.
"I want to prepare well because there is a Levain Cup in 3 days."
(What instructions did you give to recover at halftime?)
"I gave feedback on where the open spaces were because we were panicking after winning the ball. I think we changed the midfield system and the rhythm improved in both attack and defense. Leandro also changed positions and during the game, I hope we can continue to discover new things and expand our options."
(After failing to escape with 5 backs in the Hiroshima game, we reflected on it and were able to escape firmly in the end)
"After the Hiroshima game, I told the players to approach the away game with a clear mindset. It was an instruction to defend with 5 backs instead of a half-hearted 3 backs. I had already told the players who have been with us since my first and second year as coach, but since there have been changes in the players, I talked about it again after the Hiroshima game. I think each player fulfilled their role well today."
(Evaluation of Abe and Arthur SILVA)
"They are both doing well."
Shuto was able to rest a little on the bench in the previous match, but he is an essential player for the game. Arthur SILVA was on the bench in the previous match, and we are trying to reduce his playing time, but he is now an irreplaceable player. The same can be said for Takahagi. We used Shina as a starter during this time, and Mita also started as an inside half. We need to consider the midfield for the upcoming autumn season, taking into account the heat and fatigue. However, these two have become irreplaceable players."
"G Osaka - Tsuneyasu MIYAMOTO Press Conference Summary"
(Although we haven't been able to score any additional points, the points that Manager Miyamoto is considering for improvement in this match are)
"It's not that we didn't have any chances. For example, there were scenes where we swung our feet in front of the goal, and scenes where we connected with headers. There were also scenes where we could have taken the lead at 1-1, but there were fewer second and third attacks in the second half. I think we were a bit low in terms of winning the ball, so I want to watch the footage and analyze it a bit more."
