[Player and Coach Comments]
《Shuto ABE》
(Looking back at today's match)
"It was a tough situation in terms of condition, especially with the away travel just two days later. However, today we were able to fight as one team. As a result, I am genuinely very happy to have won with my goal."
(Looking back at the Final Round goal)
"My role was to aim for the loose ball, but I had time until the ball came right in front of me, and as a result, I was able to shoot at my own timing. It was a situation I absolutely couldn't miss, so I'm relieved that I was able to score."
(This brings the total to 3 goals in 2 official matches. What are the factors behind this result?)
"Since scoring my first J1 goal in the away match against Hiroshima, I have a strong sense that my awareness of shooting has greatly increased.
I think being aware of shooting and goals is what has led to this result.
I feel like I'm playing with a really good sense, so I want to score more goals to help the team from now on.
(The next match is in three days at home against Yokohama FC. Our determination)
"Next is at home, so we can play in front of our fans and supporters.
We want to secure 3 points at home.
《Manato SHINADA》
(Self-evaluation on defense)
"When I go to win the ball, it was a bit difficult to apply pressure on the opponent's midfield player from the anchor position due to the distance. However, I believe I was able to contribute to the team in the sense that I could maintain that long-distance approach throughout the 90 minutes."
(In light of the coach's instructions, I was able to embody that)
"I believe this is the part where the coach expected me to be able to play like this, so in that sense, I think I was able to contribute today."
(It has been a while since I played in the Shonan match, but what I was conscious of in today's game)
"I have been told that my defense has improved, but I wanted to show a difference in my attacking play. I made a final pass to Abe in the first half, but I want to deliver a ball that leads to a goal with just one pass, and I also wanted to express that I can take a mid-range shot.
I also think that in order to bring that out, we must play solidly in the fundamental fighting parts. Since the Shonan match, I have been preparing to be able to play at 100% in every game.
(What kind of motivation did you have mentally while playing)
"I feel that I can play without any issues regarding participating in the match, but since I haven't played consecutively yet, I still feel that I have a long way to go. I want to continue my own 100% preparation."
(The midfield was composed of players from the academy)
"I think that as the number of players from the academy has increased, there is a good sense of unity. Since the style of football we have built up until now is almost the same, I believe there were parts where we could understand each other and help each other play."
Masato MORISHIGE
"We changed the members, and I really wanted to win today's match at all costs. I feel really good about it because there is something to gain from winning."
(About my performance)
"What I need to do hasn't changed much. While doing that, I also wanted to support the younger players. If they can play freely, they can deliver good performances. First of all, I played with a sense of responsibility that I must perform steadily."
(The coach referenced the loss against Kashima during halftime, reflecting on what was important in the final moments of the match)
"Even if we are pushed back, we need to tighten up at key moments. Especially before and after water breaks, after substitutions, and right before the end of the match, the score can change easily, so if we can concentrate and endure in those moments, I thought there would be no problem. We did what we needed to do, and then just played with a clear mind."
(Feelings towards Oita)
"After all, it's the place where I became a professional soccer player."
I always want to show a good performance here, so I am honestly happy with today's result.
(A word for the ongoing series of matches)
"It is important to continue winning, so I want to prepare well for the next match and achieve further victories."
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
"It was a tough match, but I'm glad that all the players and staff came together to win against Oita."
(Evaluation of the player selected today)
"Kousuke finally returned from his shoulder injury and was able to play in the match. I think he played in his usual style. Both Mita and Takumi showcased their individual strengths. Aito also played for 90 minutes today, and I believe he gained new confidence."
(What preparations and measures are there against Oita's build-up?)
"There was hardly any time to prepare. We decided to do what we always do while watching the footage. Every player in every position did what they usually do. There is nothing special."
(For 90 minutes, we were able to control the opponent with pressure from the front)
"Whenever we can, let's apply pressure on any team. Oita is good at building up from the back. There were moments when we were caught out, but I think we managed to maintain a good rhythm."
《Oita - Manager Tomohiro Katano's Press Conference Summary》
"Today, Tokyo has been in a series of intense matches, and after two days of preparation against us, they have rotated their squad to compete. Meanwhile, we have prepared for a week, aligning our offensive and defensive strategies for the match against Tokyo."
There are various differences such as conditions and the current situation between us and Tokyo, but losing with a score of 0-1 is very frustrating.
I wanted to score and earn points in front of many fans and supporters at home.
Last season, we suffered consecutive losses at home and away against Tokyo, and with that frustration, we challenged ourselves to do what we couldn't do last season. Compared to last season, we may have had more possession and more entries into the attacking third, but there was still a toughness that didn't allow us to break through easily.
In Tokyo, the attitude of hard work even during consecutive matches, the determination to maintain power and earn points regardless of who is on the field, is something that I think is challenging during this series of matches, but it is a point we must learn from.
I also spoke with the players in the locker room, and when it comes to scoring against strong opponents and earning points, we still lack power. We need to fight with energy and dynamism for the full 90 minutes without interruption. Without that, it will definitely become a game where we cannot earn points. That's what I said.
We are able to play soccer thanks to the support of various people, and it is important to have games that encourage those individuals. Of course, winning is very important, but the attitude of fighting, the attitude of not giving up, and the attitude of truly aiming to score, along with the power to go into those situations, are aspects where I feel Tokyo was superior.
It is very frustrating, but we must switch gears quickly as we have a match against Shonan on Wednesday. With today's frustration in mind, I believe the players will prepare well, taking into account the areas where we fell short. I will also switch gears and prepare well alongside the players, and I want to challenge myself to ensure that the next game is one we win and one that inspires our supporters.
