Players showing their frustration
[Player and Coach Comments]
《Diego OLIVEIRA》
(It was a goal from a position with no angle)
"I think it was a situation where we were launching a quick attack. The pass from Hotaka NAKAMURA went to player Ogawa, and at the timing I moved, a good ball came from Ogawa. I was able to evade Jesiel well, and even though it was from a position with no angle, I was glad I could score."
(I was aiming for that course)
"There was no angle, but it was a matter of whether it was a cross or a shot."
However, I thought there was a chance from that angle, so I boldly aimed for it.
(There were some good moments in the second half)
"Today we faced a high-quality opponent, so I could somewhat predict the flow of the first half, but it ended up being at the opponent's pace. Our defense didn't quite work well, but in the second half, we were able to apply pressure effectively and connect it to goals.
There was a chance to turn the game around, but in the end, we were scored on, resulting in a disappointing outcome.
(Towards the next Levain Cup Final Round)
"Although we have been on a losing streak in the league, the next match is the final of the cup.
Let's put the league matches aside for now; I think it will be a tough match against Kashiwa, but I want to do my best towards winning the title.
《Ryoya OGAWA》
(In the second half, I played from a different position than in the first half)
"I was prepared to play there, and I actually think the second half had a better flow."
(Parts that were actually good)
"We were able to move the ball starting from the sides, and we had more of our time in the second half. From that, we were also able to score. In the first half, there were scenes where we lost the ball immediately after winning it, but I think we were able to connect well in the second half."
(With today's results, the possibility of winning the league has disappeared)
"The league matches haven't been yielding good results lately, but we have no choice but to continue from here on. However, right now, I want to switch gears and raise our motivation for the next big match."
(Today's match result was disappointing, but it was a game where we could see the effort)
"We felt that we were playing well during the match. I don't think it was a content that should lead to pessimism. There were parts where we needed to play more tenaciously. It's unfortunate that we didn't get the result today, but I want to continue this way."
(Towards the next Levain Cup Final Round)
"We have been on a losing streak in the league, which is unfortunate, but next is the Levain Cup Final Round.
Everyone looks up without dragging anyone down, and we will fight for the title.
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Coach Kenta HASEGAWA》
"In the first half, I felt we did well to keep it to just one goal. In the second half, we equalized, and during the crucial moments, it was Kawasaki who took the lead. However, with many Tokyo fans and supporters returning to the stands at Todoroki, I believe the players were able to show their spirit and pride."
(Compared to the last few matches, the members and the attacking shape were good, but after today's match, the possibility of winning the league has disappeared)
"I think the players have done well in a very tight schedule. It's a challenging season, but I want to continue to fight hard for next season.
We still have the Levain Cup, ACL, and Emperor's Cup, so we want to work hard towards winning titles there.
(I think Go HATANO showed good play, but how does he feel about it? Towards the Levain Cup Final Round)
"Go HATANO's performance this season has been improving as we approach the end of the season, so I used him today. For the next Levain Cup Final Round, I want to see how the training goes over the next week and decide in consultation with the GK coach."
(Aim of the Battle in the Second Half)
"Since we couldn't create an attacking shape from the middle of the first half, I talked to the players about our aim at halftime and made adjustments so we could create an attacking shape. We had prepared various strategies since we faced Kawasaki in the Levain Cup Semifinal Round. I believe the players played with a sufficient understanding of our intentions for the battle."
(How today's performance will connect to the future)
"I think today's match wasn't bad. The first goal we conceded was unfortunate, but it couldn't be helped. The second goal was also a situation where we were caught out at the last moment, and the opponent's shot was good. The defense line fought well. Recently, there have been goals conceded due to a lack of concentration, so I believe we threw ourselves into defending until the end today."
《Kawasaki - Toru ONIKI Coach Press Conference Summary》
"Just like in the recent match against Nagoya, the players' feelings about today's match against Tokyo were evident. I believe they played a game like that. However, we had opportunities to score the second and third goals, and not being able to do so made it a tough situation. Still, they played with the determination to win no matter what until the end, and I want to carry that into the next match. With fewer home games left, I want to play a good game that will be remembered."
(It was difficult to score the second goal and we conceded. I think substitutions were also challenging, but how did we view this period?)
"I thought it would take time for the opponent to adjust after changing their system."
The players who were out there were not necessarily bad, and I watched thinking it was just a matter of a little patience. It was unfortunate that we conceded a goal, but from that point, it felt like we woke up a bit, and I think the feeling that we have to go for goals came out.
In that sense, we fought with patience. It would have been better if we could have scored the second and third goals first.
