[Player and Coach Comments]

《Diego OLIVEIRA》
(It was a difficult situation with both teams having players sent off, but looking back at the match)
"Today was a very challenging game situation.
It became difficult from the time it was 11 against 11, and then we ended up with a player sent off first, making it 11 against 10, which made it even more challenging.
However, in the second half, the opponent also had a player sent off, and we were able to score the opening goal from a subsequent set-piece opportunity.
Although we conceded one last goal to Sapporo, I'm glad we were able to win somehow.

(About Goal Performance)
"A friend in Brazil is suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic."
This performance means wearing a mask, and I promised that if my friend scores a goal, I would do this performance.

(Looking back at the opening goal)
"It was a very fast cross that Nagai headed, but that ball was also fast."
For me, it was good that I was able to focus on making solid contact with the ball and instinctively align with it.

(Is the condition improving?)
"I have a very good feeling."
I believe we can get even better from here, and I am very happy that we are scoring more goals.
I am happy that the goal has been scored.
I am happy to have scored a goal, but I believe it is also because the players behind me are defending well.
I want to express my heartfelt thanks

Masato MORISHIGE
(After Tsuyoshi WATANABE was sent off, what the team was careful about)
"I think the coach chose today's formation considering not only how to defend with one less player but also how to attack."
We played with a certain level of compromise in defense, and since there are players like Okazaki and Takumi NAKAMURA who can hold the ball in the defense line, we consciously aimed to build up from the back even if it meant pushing ourselves a bit.

(How did Diego OLIVEIRA appear from Morishige?)
"I thought again that he is a reliable player."
Since we were down to 10 players and there was a lot of space, it was unfortunate that players like Diego OLIVEIRA, Adailton, Tagawa, and Nagai, who can effectively utilize that space, were not able to play. However, we took it positively.
Diego OLIVEIRA contributed not only in attack but also in defense. He is a player who always works hard on defense, so I believe his usual efforts were reflected in this.

(The coach has improved his ability to make adjustments on the pitch, but how does he feel about it?)
"We know what our strong points and weak points are. How to respond to the opponent. If this doesn't work, let's try this, and it's not just the coach, but the players themselves also have a few options to draw from.
I think being able to make small adjustments while playing during the match helps prevent us from panicking during the game.

(Victory against adversity. Looking ahead)
"The absence of Tsuyoshi WATANABE is a significant disadvantage, but I believe the players who get the chance will see this as an opportunity, so I think that competitive spirit will create a positive cycle for the team, and if they play well, then next time Tsuyoshi WATANABE will have to play well too.
I hope that the fact that seats are not always available will create a good cycle.

(About Adailton's contribution)
"He can take on challenges in one-on-one situations, and even when two defenders come at him, he still drives towards the goal, so I think he's a player that defenders dislike. This year, he has been able to create space using his driving force and ball retention on the side. I believe this is a new form for Tokyo that we haven't seen before."

(There are parts that are easier when viewed from behind)
"Since there are many quick vertical attacks, we often skip the midfield to go on the attack. If we can create a hold on the side, it adds depth to the attack, makes it easier for the defense, and from there we can launch different types of attacks."
It's a sense that the team has gained another weapon, or rather, that there was something missing.

《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
"It was a difficult match, but I think it was a very significant three points that we managed to secure through everyone's hard work."

(After Tsuyoshi WATANABE was sent off)
"At first, we played with a 4-4-1 formation, but I thought it would become difficult if they used both sides, so when Tsuyoshi OGASHIWA got injured, I had time to talk with various players. It's really unfortunate about Tsuyoshi OGASHIWA's injury, and I hope he returns as soon as possible and shows us his energetic self.
I think that having that little bit of time allowed us to focus and play the first half without conceding any goals.
"I think we were able to have a very tight match by giving instructions to the players at halftime and bringing in Nagai, who could work harder."

(Morishige played as a center-back from the middle of the match, but how does he want to utilize him in the next game?)
"I'm unsure. It also depends on the condition of other players, so I want to assess the situation over the next three days and prepare for the match against Kawasaki."

(After being sent off, I think the players were talking to each other frequently)
"Centered around Morishige, we were accurately discussing where the dangers were. I felt that the team is maturing as I watched. We haven't practiced a three-back formation this season. It was close to improvisation, but since Adailton played as a wing-back last season, I think that experience was beneficial."

(Evaluation of Diego OLIVEIRA)
"I believe he played tirelessly on both offense and defense for the team's victory. I think it was a remarkable performance.
The start of this season was slightly delayed, but gradually improving the condition and playing really wonderfully.
I think he is playing as a key player for the team both mentally and physically.

Summary of the Press Conference of Sapporo Coach Zoran PETROVIC
"I believe we controlled and dominated the match until the opponent received a red card and had a player sent off."
However, after that, perhaps due to increased difficulty or being overly cautious, there were more sideways passes, and time passed by.
From there, our players were sent off in the second half, and we conceded a goal there.
In an attempt to equalize from there, we conceded a second goal from a quick attack, resulting in a painful development.
After that, we were able to create good attacks and closed the gap to one goal, creating chances that seemed likely to equalize, but we couldn't achieve the equalizer.
Today, we were unable to apply pressure on the opponent during the time when we had the advantage of one extra player.
While it is understandable that the players became cautious against the opponent's sharp counterattacks, that is where they need to reflect.
It became a match that we deserved to lose.

(What instructions were given to the players at halftime)
"We talked about applying more pressure.
We applied pressure man-to-man from the front and tried to push them into our half. Since the opponent sealed off the sides with five players, we also discussed launching attacks while rotating effectively.
In that moment, we were caught off guard, we had a player sent off, and we conceded a goal, leading to a painful turn of events.
After going down 0-2, we were able to create good opportunities, but we should have done that during the periods when we had a numerical advantage. I intended to communicate this to the players at halftime, but it didn't quite take shape.
