[Player and Coach Comments]
Kensuke NAGAI
(Looking back at the goal scene)
"I could see the shooting lane clearly, so I thought I would swing my foot with determination and aimed for the goal."
(It was a match where we changed the lineup due to consecutive games)
"We had been on a losing streak, so we decided to make a bold move. The players who hadn't been playing would bring energy to the team, and we approached today with the mindset of making the team win again. I'm glad we were able to secure 3 points."
(There was a moment when the penalty in the first half didn't go in, but we didn't get discouraged)
"Everyone was positive, and even if we missed, there was a good atmosphere with encouragement that we could create chances again together."
I felt that another chance would come in the second half.
(The goal scene was a pass from Leandro)
"Leandro simply passed the ball to me, so I was glad I could finish it."
(Was it the result of practice?)
"I had been working on it in practice, and I was able to show it today. I felt that daily practice is very important."
《Rio OMORI Player》
(It was my debut with the top team)
"Everyone was giving their all from the moment we were watching the match on the bench."
I was very grateful for the opportunity to play in such a tense situation.
Even after coming on as a substitute, in a situation where everyone was tired, they called out to me and supported me.
I realized again that there are many things we must do to catch up with everyone. I'm glad to be able to participate in this cup competition, but I think it won't mean anything unless I get more involved in the league matches from now on, so I want to continue building up as I have been.
(What are the instructions from the coach?)
"I was told to play clearly considering the game situation, and to go out there and play boldly, which allowed me to enter the match smoothly."
(How do you want to connect this experience to the future?)
"It took longer to get on the field than I had expected since being promoted to the top team, but I am once again realizing the difficulty of playing in matches and the sense of responsibility that comes with it.
I want to make the most of this experience and become a stronger player.
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
It was a very tough match, but the entire team came together to secure the three points.
In the last few matches, we have been in a bit of a bad flow in the league, and with a tough schedule, the away game against Oita was a difficult match. Last time, we started the match well, but our intensity dropped.
Today, we really talked about everyone putting their feelings into the fight until the very end and entered the match.
Omori also did his job at the end as it was his first appearance with the top team.
While there are players who are out due to injuries, there are also players who have returned. With new young talent emerging as a new force, we want to do our best in the league match again this weekend.
《Oita - Manager Tomohiro Katano's Press Conference Summary》
"Amidst the consecutive losses in the league, as we welcome the Levain Cup at home, I approached this match with the desire to somehow stop the losing streak."
The result was 0-1, and the losing streak continues without scoring. It's natural to feel disappointed just looking at the score and the result, but against Tokyo, the members who played today included some who were starting for the first time in a while, some who had not had many opportunities but were given a chance, and some who had been away from league matches for a bit. I personally think they played a very good game in terms of content.
A good game is a team that fights very hard and tough in Tokyo, with speed.
In response to that, we also challenged ourselves without backing down, and even when we were behind, we fought without giving up with the attitude of aiming for a goal until the end. I mentioned that this attitude is important, beyond the tactics we have built up until now, and they expressed it on the pitch.
I believe that by maintaining this attitude, including the members who did not participate today, and by preparing well for what we need to do, we can definitely break this trend. I trust the players and our way of fighting, and it has become a game where we will score again and achieve victory.
The result of this losing streak is also my responsibility.
However, even when the players are losing, the desire to somehow win and score is truly being shown in this week's training and today's game.
I am grateful to the players, and I want to maintain that attitude and prepare well for the next challenge.
I think the next away game against Urawa in the league will also be a difficult match, but I want to do my best to earn some points.
