[Player/Coach Comments]
"Diego OLIVEIRA"
(It was a goal right after the start, but looking back at the goal scene)
"We were able to make a good break on the right side, and it was a good flow."
I think half of the goal is from Uchida's good cross ball, and I just had to finish it in the middle.
"I hope they continue to contribute to the team's strength as they have been playing well recently."
(The team achieved consecutive victories without conceding a goal)
"We have had good games before, but we couldn't quite finish them off. Winning two games in a row here has given the team confidence."
"I hope we can achieve more victories in this season."
(The team is starting to get into a good rhythm, but there have been some changes)
"We weren't able to win easily and went through a tough period, but we were able to play some good games."
I think that grabbing a victory in Kashiwa and winning against G Osaka today has been a factor in regaining confidence.
"Takuya UCHIDA"
(Looking back on the scene where I assisted the final goal)
"When player Takahagi had the ball, I was able to enter the space well and from there, I was able to compete one-on-one and also beat the opponent."
"It was great to be able to time the cross ball well with Diego OLIVEIRA."
(Do you feel that the cooperation among the defense has improved?)
"We have kept a clean sheet for two consecutive games, and although there are still areas that need improvement, I think the overall quality of our defense has been getting better."
(Challenging in a new position called side back, but what I am focusing on within that)
"Of course, the defensive aspect is important, but as a player originally from the attacking side, being the starting point of the attack is my strength."
"I am playing while thinking about how to connect attacks without making holes in the defense."
(The feeling of playing in this position)
"We won the previous match, and although I didn't have a clear confidence, being able to assist this time has given me another boost of confidence."
"We want to continue to improve the quality in the next and subsequent sections."
(Regarding being able to assist today despite the lack of assists from the side back)
"Not limited to the side back, being able to make plays that lead to results was a big thing for me, and being able to contribute to the victory gave me confidence."
"I want to become a player who can continue to assist and score goals."
(Do you feel that the team can gain momentum with today's victory?)
"After losing five games in a row, we were able to stop the losing streak in the Kashiwa game, but in today's match, we knew that winning would allow us to move forward, but losing would mean going back to square one."
I think it was good that I was able to connect to the next one today.
"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"It was a tough game, but we were able to achieve a long-awaited victory at home. The players showed a positive attitude towards scoring from the start."
It would have been a quiet game if we were able to score an additional point, but for us it was a very important victory.
"We were able to defeat the team that fought with great spirit under the name of G Osaka, and we want to prepare well for the next game."
(As the game progressed, it seemed like the defensive line had dropped deeper, but what was the intention?)
"We were pushed back by the opponent's pressure and ended up dropping back."
There was a chance to score an additional point at the beginning, but we couldn't take it and ended up getting tired on the attack, allowing the opponent to take control of the pace.
I think if we were able to capitalize on the chances we created through fast breaks, the game would have taken a different turn. I wanted to play more aggressively in the first half.
(With consecutive wins, we can go further ahead)
"I think the next Shimizu is also a very difficult opponent, so I want to prepare well again."
(The results have been coming out since changing the composition in the middle, but about the feeling of momentum)
"I feel the momentum in each game."
"We want to improve our combination even more and continue to get better."
(I feel more of a sense of scoring than ever before, but about the momentum in offense and defense)
"I feel a lot of momentum in defense with two consecutive games without conceding. We have also scored 5 goals in two games, so I feel like we are coming together as a team in both offense and defense."
(Benefits of Uchida playing as a right back)
"Since Tokyo's football cannot function without attacking from the side back, by having him play as a right back, he is able to initiate attacks and also provides excellent defense, resulting in a dynamic right side."
"Summary of G Osaka Manager Masanobu Matsunami's Press Conference"
"Regarding the fact that we ended with zero points, there are still areas that need improvement, including the intensity in front of the goal and the way we enter."
I think we were expecting Tokyo to put pressure on us early on and we did concede a goal, but we weren't able to turn things around and that's what led to the goal.
After that, there was a slightly unsettled period, but we were able to move the ball a little from the middle of the first half. There were opportunities to attack from behind, but we didn't have as many chances to receive the ball behind the four-back, or in front of it.
"We received the impression that there were many attacks from behind the defense line, and we were unable to break through the defense that was waiting for us."
(The defense line, which was unstable at the beginning, seemed to have settled down, but what instructions did you give?)
"There were also early goals conceded."
With Kanno joining the defense line, it became a slightly new defensive line. We shouldn't have conceded a goal there, but I told the players to go for the ball while maintaining compactness once again, or to go for the second ball.
(Tokyo's defensive line has become very deep, and even if they have the ball, it's difficult to get it through. So how can they score in that situation? I want to ask Coach Matsunami, who used to be a striker.)
"Against a team that is playing deep, we need to have a fast attack after winning the ball. We also need to be able to make one-touch passes at the tempo of the pass, or even aggressively go for second balls. If we don't break through in those situations, just moving the ball around won't be enough to scare the opponent."
I think we need to organize the timing and space for crosses, as there were several that went in.
