[Player and Coach Comments]
Kensuke NAGAI
(Substituted in a 0-0 situation, but what was the feeling when stepping onto the pitch)
"Since we were being pressed, I thought we had to push back first to create a goal, and I was conscious of that aspect when I came on."
(Assisted the winning goal but looking back)
"I said to pass it because we were going to do a one-two, and the ball came."
I never thought that Leandro would shoot directly.
(Although there were concerns about the timing of conceding goals, today we managed to avoid conceding during that period, resulting in a victory. Do you feel the change there?)
"We are fighting tenaciously.
Today the pitch was slippery, and everyone made a lot of mistakes. I think it was significant that we kept the first half at zero.
(The goal involved multiple players, but do you feel that the results of practice are showing?)
"After receiving the ball from Tagawa to Leandro, we executed a one-two. I think we were gradually pushing forward even before that.
If no one actively goes for a shot like today, goals will not be born. I feel that if our accuracy improves, we can score even more.
(The feeling that the width of the attack is expanding)
"It's still just one goal, so we all need to build on this from here, and I want to make sure we practice properly again."
Masato MORISHIGE
(Reflecting on the match)
"Although there were long periods of defending in our own half, it was important not to concede any goals while fighting patiently.
Everyone worked hard for the team, especially in defense.
They were also creating chances in good attacking positions. Ideally, it would be great to create more opportunities from set plays, but the players who came in during the second half gave the team even more momentum, and we were able to decide the match because of that, so I feel that our patience in fighting was worthwhile.
(Having reached 400 matches in today's game, what I feel again is)
"Including my time in Oita, there have been various matches in Tokyo as well. There were matches where I caused trouble, and conversely, there were matches where we won thanks to my goals, and I have shown various sides of myself in each match here in Tokyo.
I believe that this accumulation has led to these 400 matches. For better or worse, I am happy to have played many matches in Tokyo, and I am truly grateful to all the fans and supporters who continue to support my play even now.
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
I entered the match prepared for a difficult game, and I believe the players fought hard despite the tough schedule.
Before the match, we all came together as a team to fight. It may sound like a cliché, but I truly believe that we cannot win against an opponent unless we fight with a strong mindset. I think this victory was achieved as one solid unit.
(It was a match decided by a single point, but today's reason for victory)
"The players who participated today showed their spirit and fought tenaciously. Just like in the previous match against Sendai, I felt we were able to play soccer in a good atmosphere."
(It seemed like an adult match)
"Before this three-game series, we had been conceding easy goals, so the key point and challenge since the G Osaka match has been how to prevent those avoidable goals."
In that sense, although we conceded a goal in Sendai, I believe it was a result of the defense and the entire team adhering to the team tactics and managing to control the areas they needed to.
We have attacking talent, so I believed that by continuing to fight tenaciously, chances would definitely come. I want to fight hard in the next Levain Cup Prime Stage as well.
(Please summarize this away 7-game series)
"We were able to win overall, so although there were tough times, I believe it is the result of everyone preparing well."
Since the Levain Cup away matches continue, the next home game at Ajinomoto will be on September 12, so we want to stay focused and the players should also take care of their physical condition as we still want to do our best until the match at Ajinomoto.
(Regarding the strategy in the second half)
"Coming with a diamond shape in the midfield was one of the predictions before the match, so we had prepared to some extent.
They were discussing the points while watching the footage. I communicated to the players that the system changed at the timing of the substitutions, and I also gave instructions to the substituted players. In that sense, I think they responded well overall.
(Was the winning goal expected?)
"Right now, we are struggling to score with fast attacks, so in that sense, the team is growing through trial and error. I believe one form of that has resulted in this outcome."
《Kobe - Summary of the Press Conference with Coach Atsuhiro MIURA》
"As a plan, I wanted to score a goal while firmly controlling the game."
The plan was to score while managing the risks of the opponent's fast breaks and set plays, but we were unable to break down the opponent who sat back effectively. Regarding this, we want to thoroughly explore as a team how to break them down, including the coordination of the players and the players we can utilize.
(After entering the second half, I felt that the ball started to gather around Osako, adding depth to our attack)
"In the first half, the opponent was tightening the center and being cautious, making it difficult for the ball to reach Osako, but at halftime, we changed the players' positioning and the way we built up our play.
In the second half, I thought we would have more opportunities to receive the ball in good positions and create chances, but I want to plan and implement training to improve the quality of our movements and plays in the attacking third.
(The intention and evaluation of bringing in DOUGLAS midway through the second half to form a two-top)
"I think we were dominating the game, but we wanted to put more players here, including breaking through the final line while having the ball, which is why we formed a two-top."
There is some risk in the midfield, but there was an intention to go on the offensive by having one anchor.
(The reason why player Muto was not on the bench was due to his condition)
"I have been in communication with him, and after not playing for a while, he joined the team and faced a tough schedule, which led to some minor incidents. Considering his condition, he was left off the bench today."
