[Player and Coach Comments]

Kensuke NAGAI
(How do you feel about the defeat with 3 goals conceded)
"We have no choice but to score and win. Now that it's clear what we need to do, I think we should take it positively and move forward."

(It was a match approached with a change in the system, but the feeling during the match)
"There was a lack of communication in the areas where we conceded goals, but we had some degree of response in our attack, and since we have three days to prepare, I want to make sure we adjust properly."

(It is important to create many chances)
"The opponent's GK is a good player, but our attacking line and the team as a whole must overcome that. I want to fight with confidence."

Adailton
"It was a very tough match."
Despite conceding the opening goal and an additional goal, we were able to somehow score one point in the end.
I want to fight with all my strength in the second home game so that this one point leads to the next one.

(Looking back at the goal scene)
"I received a good pass from Higashi between the center back and the side back, and I was able to break through there myself. In the end, I think I was able to calmly score while watching the opposing GK."

(Towards the second match)
"We must win the next match by a margin of at least two goals."
We are in a situation where we must score, and even with just three days in between, I want to prepare well again so that we can turn things around at home.

《Keigo HIGASHI》
(Although he came on as a substitute)
"After the match against Urawa, I had some issues with my condition, so I skipped the last match against Kawasaki to prepare for today."

(It was a match played in a 3-back system, but were you prepared?)
"There wasn't much time since the match against Kawasaki and there were many injured players, so we fought in this formation today."

(The match itself was competitive, but there was a difference in the finer details between the teams)
"The goals conceded were due to mistakes, and we were thoroughly exploited by Nagoya. Coach Massimo played with me during my time in Tokyo, and he was adept at capitalizing on such mistakes.
A two-goal difference is significant, but we will keep going without giving up.

(A victory by 2-0 is necessary, but the determination for the second match)
"I don't think it's that simple, and winning by scoring two goals is really difficult. However, the second match is at home, and we have all come together in the past to turn things around and advance, so I have a good feeling. Even though there are three days in between, I want the team to unite and prepare well for it."

《Tokyo - Summary of Director Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference》
"There were many unnecessary goals conceded."
However, we managed to score one away goal, so we can return home with a glimmer of hope.
I want to prepare thoroughly so that we can turn the game around at home and reach the Final Round.

(The first goal conceded was related to player Hasukawa, who made a rare starting appearance. How did you see it?)
"I think it was a wasted goal conceded."
I think there was some tension, but I believe Sōdai did very well.

(How to fight in the second match)
"First, we were able to score an away goal.
However, we need to win by 2-0 or more next time, so the tough situation remains unchanged, but I still think it's a possible score. I want to prepare to turn things around at home and advance to the Final Round.

(The DF line has changed slightly, but the aim is)
"In a situation where there are no pure SBs. Among the players who can currently compete, I thought about how to maximize their potential and chose accordingly."

(What was the intention behind having Adailton come on as a forward instead of on the side?)
"I sent him out with the message to go and score a goal."

《Nagoya - Massimo FICCADENTI Coach Press Conference Summary》
"I believe we were able to play exactly as I imagined."
I was able to conduct the match as I thought I needed to bring it to this kind of development after imagining the game. It was a battle between teams with well-organized tactics, and while there were times in the first half where both sides were canceling each other's spaces, they responded appropriately to our attacks according to the number of defenders they had.
Although the score changed, I think it was more a result of both teams clashing with what they had prepared rather than a significant shift in the flow of the match. In the second half, we struggled because we couldn't slide in time to respond to the opponent's left side, but we managed to get through it and score an additional goal. There was an unexpected goal conceded, which almost ruined everything, but we were able to regain control one last time, and I have the impression that we managed to see it through.

(We kept attacking until the end, but how did we instruct?)
"Changing to a three-man defense during the match was more about considering how we could break through during our attacks rather than focusing on defensive awareness or being able to endure at the back."
I judged that it would be difficult to mark Tokyo's two forwards with two center-backs, so I decided to use three. I think the players understood and played while considering what I communicated to them.

Winning by capitalizing on limited chances. Regarding decisiveness
"In the second half, Kakitani created a close scene among the few chances. Tokyo had opportunities with Adailton's goal and LANGERAK's big save.
I think the result is that the opponent converted half of their chances, while we converted three-quarters. Being able to stay focused and capitalize on our chances is a very significant achievement.

(How to fight in the second match based on today's results)
"In the home-and-away regulations, any result in the second match is possible."
Like in the quarterfinals against Kashima, the second match, after winning the first match, is a condition to advance if victorious.
I want to focus on winning and finishing in 90 minutes. I want to aim for the same flow as the last match against Kashima.
