[Player and Coach Comments]

《Kosuke OTA》
Q = Reflecting on today's match
"Winning without conceding a goal gives us confidence, but it was also a match that revealed some issues."
It is difficult to peak the team's condition for the opening match, and I believe it is something that can be gradually improved while fighting. The team has definitely improved since we started, so I want to continue building on this momentum. We will practice diligently over the next week to make the best preparations.

Q=Although I stood out in attacking from the sides, I believe that if we can maintain the ball in high positions on the sides, we will have more opportunities to participate in the attack. I am focused on creating clear chances even from the few opportunities we have, and I want to send the ball to the players who come inside. However, since my position is DF, the first priority is to defend well. I am happy that we did not concede any goals today.

Q=Reflecting on today's match

"I think it was good for us to finish the match without conceding any goals. I am satisfied that we were able to show what the coach has been asking for during the camp and what the players have been trying to do in today's match."

Q=What aspects of the football that the coach demands were reflected in today's match? "Each individual ran well, and we played with a sense of unity, focusing on solid defense. It's not just about individual performance; I believe we were able to fight together as a team to achieve good results."

Q=As a captain leading the team, what is your feeling about today's match? "There are many things I need to do as a captain, not just during the match but also outside of it. First, I hope to show a proactive attitude through my play and encouragement to lead the team."

Summary of the press conference by Kenta HASEGAWA, Tokyo's coach

"Yokohama FM plays a style of football that highly values possession, with fullbacks moving inside like Barcelona, building up play and taking positions that make it difficult to catch Yokohama FM's defensive midfielder Nakamachi. I think the players struggled until they got used to it. Especially on the right side, the indecisiveness allowed several incursions into the box. I believe it improved over time, but there were still many instances of losing the ball in a hurry after regaining possession, so we need to keep building on that. It was a tough match, but ultimately winning is very important in terms of establishing a winning habit at home. Personally, I don't recall winning many preseason matches before, but this season, having played six games without losing before the season starts is a first for me. That’s because the players have shown a strong attitude to fight as a team so far. There were still issues today, but I want to continue training to resolve them one by one. Urawa has even stronger individuals, so we want to prepare thoroughly over the next week and get ready for the opening match."

Q&A

Q=What was gained from today's match?

"I don't think possession is everything. Even when we were under pressure, we were able to respond well in critical situations. I don't believe that every match should unfold like today, but I think it's important to create a solid block and control the game. There were some dangerous moments in the first 30 minutes, so we need to improve on that. Regarding our approach in the second half, I believe we maintained a high defensive line. I'm not pessimistic about our play until we made substitutions in the second half. However, we often rushed after winning the ball and lost possession, so we need to ensure we can connect better in those situations.

I think we couldn't create much rhythm in the defensive midfield. "There were mistakes in today's match, but if you say there were many mistakes in the previous matches, that's not entirely true. It's not just their fault; I believe there are issues with the players receiving the ball as well, so I want to review the footage again and provide feedback."

Q=What about the substitution of players Ota and Maruyama? "Since it was a preseason match, I wanted to try it out. I knew that Maruyama could be used as a left back, but I had never actually used him in a real match, so I wanted to give it a try."

Summary of the press conference of Yokohama FM coach Ange POSTECOGLOU》

"We were able to stick to our style until the end and played well for the full 90 minutes. I think it was a good match for both teams."

Q&A

Q=What does the coach say about our style? "It's been only 3 or 4 weeks, but the players are working hard and trying to play dynamic football. I think there were a few moments like that in today's match, but I want to solidify this going forward."

Q=What is the area you want to improve the most before the season starts?"It would have been better if we had converted the penalty, but we were able to create other chances as well. The most important thing is to enhance the players' understanding of tactics. If we can achieve that, I believe we can create better situations, generate more chances, and score goals."
