7th Day of France Expedition
On the final day of the tournament, today's match is a battle for 11th place against Stardrants.
Before the match, there was a comment from Coach Miyazawa saying, "Today is the final showdown of our France expedition. Let's play a good game and end with a good result."
Despite pushing the opponent from the first half, we were unable to score and ended the first half with a 0-0 tie. During halftime, Coach Miyazawa encouraged the players to fight harder and sent them back out for the second half.
With further support, in the second half, we continued to push forward and in the 23rd minute, Nakata scored the first goal with a direct free kick from the center.
Despite creating more chances and pushing for an additional goal, we were unable to convert and ended up conceding two goals on the counterattack.
In the end, it was a 1-2 defeat, and the final result of this tournament was 12th place.
After the match, Coach Miyazawa commented, "Let's not forget the experience we felt with this skin and do our best to grow even more after returning to Japan."
The team has received the Fair Play Award and has been honored in this tournament.
Afterwards, I watched the final round between Toulouse and Rennes.
Both teams had high-level players and it was an exciting match to watch.
Both teams put up a good attack, but defended until the end and it ended in a penalty shootout with a score of 0-0. As a result, Toulouse won their first championship.
Afterwards, we gave a thank-you gift to Mathieu, the local staff who took care of us throughout the tournament, and said our goodbyes.
It was a tearful moment to say goodbye, as you have supported us in various ways and fought with us as a member of the team during the matches.
Unfortunately, we finished in 12th place in this tournament that we participated in with the aim of winning.
Although it was a disappointing result, I hope to use the experience gained in this tournament to further my future activities.
Tomorrow will be the final day of the expedition, and we will go sightseeing in the city of Paris.
Although it is different from soccer, I hope to be able to experience new stimulation and connect it to personal growth by touching the history and culture of foreign countries.
