Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is currently requesting people to refrain from unnecessary and non-urgent outings.
The impact of this new coronavirus infection has faced unprecedented difficulties on a global scale, and this is not an exception for football, as we are in a situation where we have to postpone or cancel all activities such as "playing", "watching" and "supporting". Like all of our fans and supporters, we are extremely disappointed and regretful that we cannot hold matches.
The most important thing right now is to protect the health and safety of everyone, including the fans and supporters who support the club, stakeholders such as shareholders and club sponsors, players and club staff, and their families. We want each and every one of us to be aware and sincerely work together as a club to prioritize what we should do to prevent the spread of infection.
The club has been conducting training while monitoring the situation, but we have decided to suspend the activities of the top team for the time being. In addition, the activities of the academy (U-18, U-15 Fukagawa, U-15 Musashi) will also be suspended.
We hope that everyone will work together to stop the spread of infection by putting "protecting lives" first. Some people may feel frustrated and depressed by the current situation because they want their normal soccer routine back and want to support their beloved team. However, now is the time to endure and overcome various challenges. Let's all overcome this difficult situation together and defeat the "invisible enemy" of the new coronavirus. We are not alone, we can definitely do it.
The club will continue to make every effort with the J-League and related organizations to resume official matches. We look forward to the day when the situation is resolved and everyone can return to watching soccer and meeting with smiles.
