[Comment from 'Teikyo University Educational Corporation']
Teikyo University was established in 1966 in Hachioji City, Tokyo. Initially, it started with two faculties and three departments: Faculty of Letters with Departments of Japanese Literature and English Literature, and Faculty of Economics with the Department of Economics, enrolling 200 students. Over time, it has expanded its potential as a place of learning. With the educational philosophy of "My Way," aiming to nurture individuals who can maximize their innate individuality by acquiring knowledge and skills and act responsibly, the university sets "Practical Learning," "Internationality," and "Openness" as its educational guidelines. In June 2016, it celebrated its 50th anniversary, with 150,000 graduates active in various fields. Currently, it operates five campuses in Itabashi, Hachioji, Utsunomiya, Fukuoka, and Kasumigaseki, and has grown into a comprehensive university with 10 faculties, 32 departments, 11 graduate schools, and approximately 23,000 enrolled students. Renovations of the Itabashi campus were completed in 2012, a new Fukuoka campus opened in 2014, and a new building at the Hachioji campus was completed in 2018, steadily advancing the development of facilities for the new era.
Through the club sponsorship agreement with FC Tokyo, we will continue to support together with fans, supporters, and the local community.
