Recently, one member of the top team staff (the relevant staff A) tested positive for COVID-19 in the official J.League PCR test conducted on the 19th (Thu). In response, a total of 49 individuals including top team coaches, staff, and players underwent the club's own PCR test on the 22nd (Sun), and we would like to inform you that all individuals except for the relevant staff A confirmed a negative result on the same day.

Positive result from official J.League PCR test
Due to the results being determined after the kickoff standard of 3.5 hours for on-site testing, on-site testing will not be conducted in accordance with the J League's COVID-19 response guidelines. Additionally, based on the same guidelines, it has been determined that there are no suspected close contacts, and the match will be held as scheduled after confirmation with the J League.

Home quarantine / Positive test result from the club's own PCR test at a medical institution
No symptoms. Body temperature 36.6℃
On August 25 (Wednesday), during the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 26 match against Vegalta Sendai (kickoff at 19:00 / Yurtec Stadium Sendai), an "on-site test for COVID-19 response by J.League" will be conducted three hours before kickoff on the day of the match. In addition to the previously established entry requirements, only players and staff who test negative in the on-site test will be allowed to enter the match on that day.
The club will continue the measures against the novel coronavirus infection that we have been working on so far, and we will strengthen our efforts to prevent infections more than ever.
