□Reason for Disciplinary Action (from the J.League Discipline Committee)
On September 22, 2021 (Wednesday), in the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 32 match (FC Tokyo vs Nagoya Grampus), Leandro was ordered to leave the field by the referee.
(Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) As a result of deliberation in light of the disciplinary standards of the Japan Football Association for competitions and matches, the act of using excessive force to strike the opponent's face area with the right arm during a contest was deemed a very dangerous act that could threaten the player's life. It is judged to correspond to 2-2. 'Assault or intimidation against players and provocative acts against the general public,' resulting in a two-match suspension.
Additionally, regarding the same player, during the match on August 1, 2020, in Sec. 8 of the 2020 Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J1 League between FC Tokyo and Sagan Tosu, there was an incident where the player used their hands or elbows near the opponent's face, resulting in a strict warning from the committee. Furthermore, in Sec. 21 on October 10, 2020, during the match between FC Tokyo and Gamba Osaka, there was an extremely malicious and dangerous act where the player intentionally struck the opponent's face while running alongside them. The committee had imposed a three-match suspension and a fine of 300,000 yen. However, since the current actions of the player are considered to be a repeat of similar violations from last year, it has been determined that this falls under Article 11 of the Japan Football Association's Disciplinary Regulations [Increased Penalties for Repeated Violations]. Therefore, a one-match suspension has been decided, along with the previously mentioned three-match suspension and fine of 300,000 yen.
