We would like to inform you of this.

□Implementation Details
TOKYO GAS and Hinatao Energy will offset all CO2 emitted during the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 34 match vs Shimizu S-Pulse held by FC Tokyo at Ajinomoto Stadium on November 3 (Wed, holiday) by utilizing the J-Credit System.

□About the environmental initiatives of TOKYO GAS, Hinatao Energy, and FC Tokyo
Tokyo Gas utilizes the "J-Credit System" for environmental contributions at internal and external events as well as during FC Tokyo's home games.
Hinatao Energy provides renewable energy that is easy to implement in buildings and apartments through solar energy services, advancing efforts towards the realization of a decarbonized society. Additionally, this will be the first use of the "J-Credit System."
Additionally, FC Tokyo has been engaged in environmental contributions through activities such as the recycling project "ECO Pass Project in Ajinomoto" for PET bottles collected at the match venue, the use of reusable cups during match operations, and encouraging business staff to bring their own chopsticks.
The three companies will continue to actively contribute to improving local and global environmental issues through initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, starting with CO2 reduction.

*1 Carbon offset refers to the concept of first making efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2 that are unavoidable in daily life and economic activities as much as possible, and then investing in activities that reduce greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions that cannot be avoided.

⇙※2 During home games held by FC Tokyo, CO2 is emitted due to energy consumption in stadium operations and the transportation of visitors, players, and staff. It is estimated that approximately 30 tons of CO2 are emitted during a single home game, which is equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed by about 2000 cedar trees in one year.

*3 The J-Credit System is a program certified by the government that quantifies the reduction and absorption of greenhouse gases such as CO2 through initiatives like the introduction of energy-saving equipment and forest management as "credits." The credits generated by this system can be utilized for various purposes, including achieving the goals of low-carbon society implementation plans and carbon offsetting.
