On Nov 9 (Tue), 16 (Tue), and 17 (Wed) in 2021, the FC Tokyo Players Association conducted visits to elementary schools.
This visit, the 14th as part of the FC Tokyo players' school visits, was conducted online again this year due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although it was through a screen, I had a fun interaction with the children from our hometown.
□Comment from Takuya UCHIDA (President of FC Tokyo Players Association)
"I wanted to be a positive influence and give power to the elementary school students in our hometown who always support us, so we conducted school visits again this year. I was worried about whether I could convey my message clearly since it was online, but I was relieved that we were able to have a solid conversation more than I expected. Although we cannot physically visit schools and interact with elementary school students due to the pandemic, I believe there are still things we can convey just by talking, so I am really glad we could carry this out with the cooperation of everyone around us. I felt that we must work harder than ever by talking with the local elementary school students, and I was reminded that we need to show them the image of being a 'professional soccer player, a figure they admire,' just as we envisioned when we were in elementary school ourselves."
