□Tsuyoshi WATANABE Comment
"I have decided to transfer to KV Kortrijk in Belgium."
I wish I could greet all the fans and supporters in person, but I apologize for having to report this here.
When it was decided that I could return to FC Tokyo after graduating from university, I joined with a strong desire to contribute to the league championship and to let more people know about the wonderful team that is FC Tokyo!
We have fought for three years with the goal of winning the league championship, but we were unable to achieve that goal. I am truly frustrated and filled with regret towards the fans and supporters who have cheered for us.
However, speaking for myself, I was able to play in matches from the second half of my first professional year, and I had many wonderful experiences, including achieving the team's highest ranking of 2nd place in the J.League, participating in the ACL, and winning the Levain Cup. The atmosphere and sense of accomplishment when we won the Levain Cup became an unforgettable and wonderful experience for me.
Although it was a short period of three years, being able to play next to Masato MORISHIGE has been a great asset for me, and I will continue to grow in Belgium so that I can someday surpass the amazing Masato MORISHIGE!
Lastly, the cheers and applause from the fans and supporters of FC Tokyo have always been my strength. Without you all, I would not have come this far.
I am who I am today thanks to FC Tokyo.
Thank you for your warm support over the past three years. We appreciate your continued support going forward.
