The player underwent antigen testing designated by the J-League and PCR testing at a medical institution on July 29 (Fri) and received a positive diagnosis. Currently, they are receiving appropriate treatment under proper measures.
In addition, there are no close contacts based on the activities and behavior history according to the J-League's new coronavirus infection guidelines.

In addition, for the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 23 Sanfrecce Hiroshima match (kickoff at 19:00 on Saturday, July 30th at EDION Stadium Hiroshima), based on J-League regulations, screening tests will be conducted on the day of the match. Only players and staff who have tested negative on the screening test, in addition to meeting the previously established entry requirements, will be allowed to enter the match on the day.
