We will deliver a report on the 5th day of the Spain-Portugal expedition, which is being held from April 3 (Mon) to April 12 (Wed).
On the 7th (Thursday) of the 5th day of the expedition, we had a late dinner and went to bed due to the match with Sporting CP in the evening yesterday. However, we checked out of the hotel at 4am and headed to our next destination, San Sebastian in Spain. First, we will go to Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport. In the local TV programs and news of the past few days, there has been a lot of talk about the "O Classico" between SL Benfica and FC Porto, which will be held on the 7th (Friday) local time, and the cleaning staff at the airport even said, "If Benfica wins today, they will be closer to winning the league!"
In addition, players and staff wearing FC Tokyo gear during their travels are often approached by locals and tourists.
After navigating through the crowded airport filled with people from all over the world, we boarded a plane and spent about an hour before arriving back at Madrid-Barajas Airport in Spain after 4 days.
And then, from here we head north for about 5 hours by bus to San Sebastian in Spain. Along the way, we will stop at a service area with magnificent views for lunch.
Arrived at the accommodation after 5pm. After a walk and dinner, I will prepare for the tournament starting tomorrow.
Through this expedition, athletes who compete in the world experience long hours of travel, changes in dining environment, and the importance of conditioning in an environment with time differences on a daily basis. Not only on the pitch, but we will also connect everything that can be felt through the expedition to growth.
The tournament we will be participating in this time is the "37th Real Sociedad U-17 International Tournament", a prestigious tournament. The participating teams are FC Tokyo U-18, Real Sociedad, Real Madrid CF, RC Celta de Vigo, CA Osasuna, and Mohammed VI Football Academy, a total of 6 teams.
In the evening, representatives from each team gathered at the Real Sociedad's home base, the Reale Arena, for a club introduction presentation. At night, the opening ceremony was held. Afterwards, we were given a tour of the stadium, including the dressing rooms, where the players eat before and after the game, the media room, and the lounge, and we were able to witness the excellent facilities.
Please give your warm support to FC Tokyo U-18, who will fight on the world stage.
