【Report】FC Tokyo Players' Elementary School Visit

On June 14 (Wed), 15 (Thu), and 27 (Tue) 2023, the FC Tokyo Players' Association conducted a visit to elementary schools.
This season marks the 16th year of our ongoing elementary school visits, which began in 2008. This season, we visited schools in 10 cities and wards, including Fuchu, Mitaka, Chofu, Kodaira, Nishitokyo, and Koganei in addition to Suginami, Setagaya, and Shibuya wards. This was the first time we visited an elementary school in Shinjuku ward.
It was a long time since I last visited in person, and it was a fun time of exchange with each school overflowing with smiles.

□Hotaka NAKAMURA (FC Tokyo Player President) Comment

"This season, we have conducted player-led elementary school visits for the first time in Shinjuku Ward, in addition to the 6 cities of Fuchu, Mitaka, Chofu, Kodaira, Nishitokyo, and Koganei, and the wards of Suginami, Setagaya, and Shibuya."
From 2019, it was held online, but it was the first time in 4 years to visit elementary schools in a real place, so we were able to interact directly with the children after a long time. I hope that they will learn something useful by experiencing various recreations with FC Tokyo players, and that they will feel closer to soccer, professional athletes, and FC Tokyo. We were also able to see the energetic and smiling faces of the children and receive a lot of energy from them.
It was a difficult event to implement only by the players' association, but thanks to the support of many people, we were able to make it happen. We are grateful to everyone who was involved. In the future, we will continue to carry out various activities to support FC Tokyo and to have more people support us through these activities.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement for FC Tokyo.

□ Yuto NAGATOMO Player Comment※ Visiting Nishishinjuku Elementary School in Shinjuku Ward, which is being held for the first time this time

"FC Tokyo has been visiting elementary schools since 2008, but this was my first time participating. I was looking forward to interacting with the energetic children and the atmosphere of the elementary school was nostalgic and refreshing, allowing me to have a wonderful time. I told the children to always cherish gratitude and to never give up on their dreams, even when things don't go well. I myself, as well as FC Tokyo, will continue to strive to become a presence that can give children even more dreams."
