[Report] FC Tokyo Player Association Elementary School Visit

On June 14 (Wed), 15 (Thu), and 27 (Tue), 2023, the FC Tokyo Players Association conducted visits to elementary schools.
The elementary school visits, which have been conducted continuously since 2008, have reached their 16th this season. This season, we visited elementary schools in six cities: Fuchu, Mitaka, Chofu, Kodaira, Nishitokyo, and Koganei, as well as in Suginami, Setagaya, and Shibuya wards, and for the first time, we visited an elementary school in Shinjuku ward, totaling visits in 10 cities and wards.
It was a real visit after a long time, and it became a fun time of交流 filled with smiles at each school.

□Comment from Hotaka NAKAMURA (FC Tokyo Player Representative)

This season, we conducted a player association-sponsored elementary school visit for the first time in Shinjuku City, in addition to the six cities of Fuchu, Mitaka, Chofu, Kodaira, Nishitokyo, and Koganei, as well as Suginami, Setagaya, and Shibuya wards.
Since 2019, the event has been held online, but after four years, we were able to visit elementary schools in person, allowing us to interact directly with the children again. I hope they can experience various recreational activities with FC Tokyo players and learn something useful, and I also hope they feel closer to soccer, professional athletes, and FC Tokyo. We were able to gain a lot of energy from seeing the children's lively appearances and smiles.
This event was difficult to carry out solely by the players' association, but it was made possible with the support of many people. I am grateful to everyone involved. Moving forward, we will continue to engage in various activities to encourage more people to support FC Tokyo through such initiatives.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement for FC Tokyo.

□Comment from Yuto NAGATOMO※Visited Nishishinjuku Elementary School in Shinjuku Ward for the first time

"Since 2008, FC Tokyo has been visiting elementary schools with the players' association, but this is my first time participating. I was looking forward to interacting with the energetic children, and the atmosphere of the elementary school felt nostalgic and very refreshing, allowing me to have a wonderful time. I conveyed to the children the importance of cherishing their feelings of gratitude and that even when things don't go well, if they continue to make an effort without giving up, they will surely open up paths and realize their dreams. I, along with FC Tokyo, want to continue striving to be a presence that can give children even more dreams."
