Details have been finalized regarding the '2024 J Youth Cup Sec. 30 J League Youth Championship' in which FC Tokyo U-18 will participate.
This tournament, which marks the 30th edition, will introduce a knockout tournament format for the first time in five seasons, with the Final Round taking place on Nov 17 (Sun) at YODOKO SAKURA STADIUM.

＜Tournament Format＞
・A total of 64 teams will participate, including all 60 teams from J1, J2, and J3, and 4 teams recommended by the Japan Club Youth Association.

[1st Round]
A total of 64 teams, including all 60 teams from J1, J2, and J3, and 4 teams recommended by the Japan Club Youth Association, will be divided into 16 groups, and a round-robin league match will be held in each group (each team will play 3 matches).
The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the upper league of the 2nd round (Group 1 to Group 8), while the bottom 2 teams from each group will advance to the lower league of the 2nd round (Group 9 to Group 16).

[2nd Round]
The 16 groups are divided into 8 groups from the upper league (Group 1 to Group 8) and 8 groups from the lower league (Group 9 to Group 16), and each team will play league matches against 2 teams they did not face in the 1st Round (each team plays 2 matches). The 8 teams that finish first in each group of the upper league will advance to the knockout round.

[Knockout Round]
A tournament will be held in a 1st Round format with 8 teams that advanced from the 2nd Round upper league.
* The matchups for the knockout round will be determined by a lottery after the end of the 2nd round.
