Day 3
We have reached the third day while fighting against jet lag!
The team will use the player dormitory that was previously used by the French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain FC during the pre-tournament period.
We are having a fulfilling time while being taken care of by Mr. Oguri, who has been coordinating for us every time Tokyo goes on a France expedition this time as well!
We have been indebted to Mr. Oguri for 11 consecutive years, not only for planning schedules and setting up practice matches, but also for providing facilities and grounds related to Paris Saint-Germain FC. We have been in contact with the staff of each facility to ensure that the players can spend their time comfortably, and they have prepared necessary items such as water and snacks. They have provided great support to help the players prepare well and win the tournament!
Breakfast is served in a French style, with a variety of simple menu items such as cereal and bread. The players eat a surprisingly large amount of breakfast, much to the surprise of the cafeteria chef, in order to replenish their energy for the day's activities!
We trained at the ground just a short walk from the dormitory in the morning!
Despite the light rain, our bodies were more active than yesterday. We focused on possession training and confirmed our defensive coordination. We also implemented a menu to adjust our condition while adding a little bit of load!
We had lunch and then moved to Paris Saint-Germain's new home base to play two 35-minute practice matches!
In the first half, we were overwhelmed by the opponent's speed and technique, and we continued to struggle as we conceded goals. However, in the last play of the first half, Haruki Matsushita scored a header from a corner kick, giving us a much-needed goal and momentum going into the second half!
In the second half, we were able to gradually hold onto the ball and increase the number of times we approached the opponent's goal. During this time, Yuha Tsumuraya made a dribble and entered the opponent's goal, shooting and scoring a goal!
The total score was 2-4 and we lost, but it was a game where we could feel the world-class speed, power, and technique firsthand, and it was a match where many challenges were presented both as a team and as individuals.

In the post-match meeting, many issues were raised, such as a lack of communication, a lack of positive challenges, and many simple technical mistakes.
We will face the challenges that arose in this match and strive to absorb more and grow in tomorrow's practice match!
